We had an amazing food tour in Shanghai with Jim! From start to finish, it was such a fantastic experience. Jim was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and passionate about Shanghai’s food and culture, and he made the whole tour both fun and interesting.We tried so many delicious dishes and visited places we would never have discovered on our own. Jim was brilliant at explaining the different foods, traditions and local culture, and he was more than happy to answer all our questions.The food was absolutely amazing! Jim's enthusiasm and personality made us feel completely at ease, and we finished the tour feeling like we had experienced a real taste of Shanghai.We would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Shanghai — especially if you love food, culture and discovering the city like a local. An absolute highlight of our time in Shanghai!

We had a really good time in Shanghai under the expert care of our guide Peggy and driver Mr Wang. We had a great introduction to the city and surrounding area. We selected the private tour option as a member of our group has difficulty walking.We were very impressed by the Benz minivan with the super comfortable orange seats and small steps that made it easier to get in and out of the vehicle. Our driver shifu Mr Wang was excellent. A smooth ride all day and we admired his adept manoeuvring through Shanghai traffic. We barely had to wait for pick-ups, and Mr Wang took great care to minimise walking by dropping us off as near as possible to the sights.Our guide Peggy took extra care of us by pacing our slowest member, constantly making sure there were plenty of places to stop to rest, and checking if all was ok. She introduced us to the various delicacies we could sample and engaged us in chit chat about the daily lives of the Shanghainese as we compared experiences from our different backgrounds. We enjoyed this deeper dive into the Chinese psyche beyond the usual travelogue. She gave us insider’s tips about alternative places away from the teeming crowds, was most helpful in listing out possible eateries to sample the local cuisine, writing down the names for us to locate and explore on our own, etc. When we wanted to try a restaurant recommended by friends for dinner, Peggy helped us locate the place and accompanied us to the door, making sure we did not get lost, before we parted ways. Even after our tour ended, she messaged to alert us that a certain museum was not open when we mentioned planning to visit on a certain day, saving us a wasted trip.We are also truly grateful when Peggy went over and beyond the call of duty, days after our tour ended, by helping to explain how we could retrieve some items we had left behind in our hotel. In fact, she called the courier company on her own initiative to help clarify matters for us. This was very much appreciated especially when we were stressed out with the unfamiliar courier system. In fact, Peggy proved much more helpful than the hotel and exceeded our highest expectations!Jenny's Shanghai Tours is an excellent option for small group tailored tours. My family recommends it highly.

We had a great day with Peggy. The pace of the tour was perfect and she was an excellent guide. She was very knowledgeable. We got to see all of the amazing sights and she also gave us the flexibility to add things we wanted to see. We loved seeing the art area where we were able to shop for some local art. The dumpling lunch was delicious. By far it was one of our best tours in China. Our driver was also very professional and courteous. He would help us with our purchases, open our doors, and was a perfect gentleman. We would highly recommend this tour.

Great tour. After the hustle and bustle of Shanghai, it was lovely to drive out to the beautiful water village. Our driver and car were very good. Our guide Kalvin was fantastic. Not only did he give us a great tour of the water village, he gave us so much more information about Shanghai and China. We had lunch with Kalvin in a family restaurant overlooking the canal. The food was delicious. Highly recommend this trip.

Queena was really excellent tour guide even she helped me to buy some traditional souvenirs for my family, and her knowledge is excellent regarding Shanghai . I strongly recommend her

The river cruise was absolutely Beautiful and the perfect way to see the all the buildings lit up. Our guide Kalvin was so so lovely and knowledgeable about Shanghai. We absolutely loved this tour

We had an amazing night, our guide Kalvin was Awesome, he was informative and very knowledgeable, with great English speaking skills, we were transported in clean modern luxury vehicles, were treated to a meal at a lovely restaurant, the spread of food was comprehensive and delicious, Once dinner was completed we boarded the boat for the city lights sight seeing, and to our surprise we were elevated to VIP status which made the trip even more special. We all had an amazing night, Alana and Kalvin did their city proud, we would highly recommend this trip

I decided that if I had to have a layover in Shanghai I may as well make the most of it, Jim was so friendly and informative! A perfect introduction into a city I knew little about, it felt like I was walking the streets with a friend. Highly recommend.

Our food tour through Shanghai with Yanny was absolutely fantastic. If you're looking for an authentic, delicious, and memorable culinary adventure, you will love it. We sampled an incredible variety of dishes, including the delicious pineapple bun, classic soup dumplings and spicy mapo tofu. Our guide flawlessly navigated us from classics like savory Cantonese-style roast meats to bold street food - including crickets. The juicy lamb skewers were a crowd-pleaser, paired perfectly with soft and warm scallion pancakes. Awesome experience. Highly recommended!

Our food tour with Yanny was the highlight of my first visit to Shanghai. From start to finish, she showed a genuine passion for Chinese provincial food culture.The standout moments for me were the lamb kebabs, combined with a great local beer. Not to be outdone by trying spiced Locusts for the first time. Places and dishes I would never have been brave enough to try solo.While I am sincerely full after the trip, I would definitely go again! And 1000% recommend to anyone.

The experience felt very personal and cater of us only, ZJ was fantastic knew so much about the food and Shanghai culture was really well done. I will do this again whenever I’m back. I highly recommend it specially if you get to have ZJ

Our private tour of Zhujiajiao Water Town and Shanghai was the highlight of our trip, and that's thanks to our guide, Blair. She was amazing from start to finish.
