Destin Florida is located on the Western Florida Panhandle where the south-facing coastline meets the warm blue-green waters of the Gulf of Mexico. The area is called The Emerald Coast due to the distinctive color of the water, and Destin is sited on a peninsula that is part a 122-mile stretch of pure white sand beach arcing south to Cape San Blas. Once a small fishing village, Destin is known as the “World’s Luckiest Fishing Village” for the great angling in the area.
