My husband and I spent a wonderful morning with Nathaniel. He showed us many local sites and shared his knowledge of the history. I also took so many beautiful photos from places that I would not have known about. It was just the two of us, so it felt like a private tour. We really enjoyed our time in Chur, and our tour with Nathaniel. I highly recommend this tour!

Nathaniel was lovely to sightsee with. He knew the history, beautiful places for photos, and some places off the beaten path that my husband I had requested since it was just the two of us. I have so many beautiful photos to remember this special trip.

The tour guide shares his love of the Chur’s (pronounced Khoor) history with insights from local lore and song.It’s a challenge. The town’s history dates to the Stone Age because it occupies the crossroads of the only north south and east west valleys connecting Switzerland. It therefore played an important role in the trade between Germany and Austria to the north, France to the , and Italy to the south.The guide explains the history of how this small village came to patiently evolve out of the feudal system, and into a self governing council representing the local guilds in the area. Similarly, the towns, history balances, hosting a bishop since 400 A.D. while eventually adapting to a “reformed“ protestant church (who is two main edifices are only a few blocks from each other). The Guide even provides an excellent introduction into the local German and. Romansch languages (and the patch work local dialects of these languages) through the example of folk songs sung by the Guide.

Very interesting and entertaining tour of the old town of Chur with its hidden alleys and charming squares. The tour was full of exciting stories and insights into the capital of Graubünden. Informative, humorous and it was really fun!

Interesting goals, exciting stories, humorous narratives and a surprise at the end. Highly recommended!

Markus inspired us with his passion for wine from the Grisons rule! He was able to pass on his knowledge to us in a simple and understandable way.

The wine tour with Markus was fantastic!! We saw 2-3 vineyards and were able to see the grapes being harvested up close in the field (lucky timing for the harvesting). The wine tasting and seeing the production process was very educational. Markus made entire experience fun and enjoyable. I would recommend this small group wine tour and tasting to anyone visiting Zurich. The 1 hour train ride from Zurich to Landquart was easy and you get to see some of the pretty Switzerland landscape/mountains on the train ride.

Without a doubt, Chur is a city surrounded by beautiful mountains. Lots of green, fantastic climate... I highly recommend it Fantastic

Very modern type constructed buildings that were an interesting site. Having a trained guide is vital and that is exactly what we got from this experience!

Giuseppe was a wonderful tour guide! He was also very easy to work with on scheduling! He went above and beyond by taking us in his personal car outside the city for some spectacular views of Chur. I can’t recommend this tour enough!!

Simon was our tour guide. Since we were the only ones on the tour, Simon came to our hotel to pick us up instead of us trying to meet him. Simon listened to what we were interested in and made the tour our own. We had a good walk around the old part of town. He gave us the choice of avoiding busy traffic areas.
