Carlsbad Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

We saw Minke Whales -- pretty awesome. All parts of the trip were easy. Crewmembers were nice and told us about the days when they see the humpbacks and blue whales. We will go back to see those soon!

Our tour guide Arnie was very friendly and knowledgeable as well as patient with us new to e-bikes. The views were stunning and Arnie was very knowledgeable about the area.

Wonderful adventure. The staff was amazing. We saw quite a lot of dolphins during this trip. I highly recommend Oceanside Adventures!

All the wines were great and our tour guide was warm, friendly and easy to talk to. The tour was a little pricey compared to other similar tours we’ve done. The presentation at Napatini was very exquisite. Even with the price, I recommend this tour. A great way to to spend a few hours in Carlsbad.

A perfect day for our son. It was truly incredible and the time flew by. Unfortunately, some attractions were not accessible due to maintenance work. Nevertheless, we had a lot of fun and not a quiet minute. The wait times were perfectly fine, the staff very friendly. We will come back sometime! No comparison to the Legoland in Günzburg, DE.

Bike rental was great. I worked with Elias and he was very friendly, helpful and the drop off and pick up went flawlessly. Had a great time with the bike rental and will use them again.

It was awesome going after 8 years. My daughter Sophia loved being back, and all three of us including her Mom and I had fun.

You will experience delicious tacos and Lucious drinks. Then was a great treat save room for a sweet experience!

My wife and i booked both a food tour of carlsbad village as well as a wine tour. The wine tour turned out to be a “private” tour and we were so very lucky that it did! Sue was our tour guide and let me tell you, by the end of the tour, we felt like she was a member of the family! The conversation was great, the stops were great and the wine and food bites were incredible! Sue introduced us to 3 local wineries (Carruth, Napatani and Costa Azul). Sue knew that my wife preferred white, so she tailored the menu to accommodate her while i was able to enjoy my preferred red wines. Sue gave us the backstory of each winery which gave us a big picture of what to expect! My personal favorite was Napatani which went overboard to pair wines with delicious food bites including Brie toast and apricot jam, a toasted cauliflower with garlic and a delicious meatball! Back to Sue - the newest member of our family who now knows everything about our kids and our grandpals! I would recommend this tour to everyone who enjoys wine and wants a taste of carlsbad. Book with Sue, she’s a delight!

We had a lovely tour around the Village of Carlsbad on Taco Tuesday. Sue was our guide and she was just super nice, and informative. Learned about each of the spots and early history and settlers of the area. Had some great tacos as well! Met some very nice people on the tour too, GREAT way to spend a few hours in Carlsbad and scoped out a few places we’ll go back to check out!

We had been on one of Carla & Linda's Tours before and it was excellent so we assumed this one would be, too; we were not disappointed. Linda is a wonderful guide! Her knowledge of the city, its history and culture is second to none and she shared it with us while walking. The variety and quality of the food choices was outstanding. There was a little too much food for us but we have learned to pace ourselves on food tours.

We had a great sail, the boat was beautiful and Bryan was a great host. We went in the morning and the water and weather were beautiful. There were five of us in our group and everyone enjoyed it! We were vising from out of state but would go again if we travel back to the area.

We fully enjoyed our sail with Captain Bryan. He was really fun to talk to and made us feel totally at home on the boat. I loved my time and the helm and my daughter really enjoyed the bean bag chair on the bow. If we had more time to spend here I would book the sail again. I highly recommend this excursion! Thanks again Bryan for an amazing day!

Great, great company. I researched quite a bit and live in SD. We had 3 adults and 2 16 year olds and they had all the bikes ready when we showed up, gave us all locks helmets and a great job explaining as well as directions for going all the way to Encinitas. We rented for 4 hours. Bikes were in excellent condition. Would highly recco
