Cardiff Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

This tour was a great way to see a bit of the Welsh coast. It was nice to break up our Cardiff visit with this tour (about 8 hours total). The guide was very kind & knowledgeable. The tour bus to and from is good as well. I went solo & had a great time and made friends with another solo traveler.

I brought this expirience for my dad for father's day and it was very informative about Dr Who and Tourchwood. The guide was very knowledgeable and took us to loads for different locations in Cardiff Bay. The guide even talked to us about some of the history in Cardiff Bay.

The tour was amazing as was the guide (Max). The places were beautiful, tips from Max were valuable and all the info he shared was either important, interesting or both.

We had a fabulous 10 mile tour with Marc. Marc was an excellent guide and showed us many interesting and historical spots. Ding was Awesome!

The combination of nature and history makes this a great tour. An excellent introduction to Wales. The view from Nash Point was spectacular. The tour guide gave us a good history lesson too.

This was a thoroughly enjoyable day trip that my family and I took during our visit to Cardiff, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our stay. The tour began from an easily accessible meeting point near the city centre, where we boarded a comfortable small bus/van and set off to explore some of the beautiful coastal scenery and villages surrounding Cardiff. Our guides for the day were Max, whom we had previously met on another tour, and Josh. Both gentlemen were absolutely excellent. They combined extensive knowledge with a relaxed and engaging style, sharing fascinating facts about the history, culture, geography, and present-day character of the places we visited. Their narration was informative without ever becoming tedious, and their courtesy and professionalism added considerably to the experience. Among the highlights were our stop in Swansea, followed by a visit to the charming village of Mumbles, where we enjoyed spectacular views and a lovely walk along the beach. We also had a wonderful coastal walk at Caswell Bay, before finishing the day with a memorable stop at the breathtaking Rhossili Beach. Overall, this was a fantastic excursion. Max and Josh were exemplary guides, and I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Cardiff.

Make this your first tour of the wonderful city of Cardiff and its surroundings - we did - as it happens to be a fantastic way to explore both the cultural heritage and natural history of city! Our guide, Max, has a natural talent for bringing the city and its surroundings to life. His narration was informative, engaging, and genuinely entertaining, with fascinating insights into Cardiff’s history, landmarks, people, and spectacular landscapes. The natural terrain was absolutely breathtaking, providing a wonderful blend of scenery, culture, and history throughout the day. If there was one caveat, it was that the trip simply went far too quickly! It was such an enjoyable and enriching experience that I only wished we had more time. Highly recommended!

Fantastic day trip from Cardiff to Swansea, Mumbles and Worms Head. The guide and driver were both fantastic. I didn’t have access to a car, I would recommend to anyone in the same situation.

Great tour! James was really friendly and knowledgeable, and he showed us around Cardiff really well. I especially liked how he shared recommendations for places to eat and visit in the area too. Would definitely recommend!

Highlights for me were the steam railway 🚂, panoramic views in the Brecon Beacons national Park and an opportunity to walk in the park, experiencing the vast expanse and beauty of Wales’ natural heritage. The stops are all long enough for you to do as much as possible, so no need to feel rushed. Also not an excessive amount of time sitting in the bus. The tour also includes Caerphilly Castle which is a must-see, but was less of a thing for me as I’d been into the castle a couple of days before.
