Bologna Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

great time creating own own tagliatelle pasta and spritz drinks. We were welcomed with a prosecco and had a really friendly group. Our hosts Francesca and Martina guided us through the process and made it a great evening. Ample drink throughout. The only slight snag was the joining instructions which took us to the wrong location. It was only by chance looking at other attendees and comparing notes that we found the right place

Beyond the incredible local delicacies, he generously shared fantastic recommendations for other sights and hidden gems to explore around the city. If you want a tour that feeds both your curiosity and appetite, Domenico is the guide you want. Five stars all around!

Our guide was Sara and she did a wonderful job. She was very knowledgeable and open to questions which made exploring Bologna and its history very easy and engaging. Highly recommend this tour to anyone going to Bologna!

Creamy Gelato that you make!! Our instructor, Mattia, guided us thru the steps to make some of the most wonderful gelato that I ever tasted…amaretto, peach sorbet, and creamy dreamy chocolate! We had a great time and our bellies are satisfied!!! Grazie Mattia

Mattia was great. Very professional and fun to cook with. We had a lot of fun in the class. Would definitely recommend this others.

Our guide Naz was excellent. She gave a very interesting tour of the historic centre. The highlight (unsurprisingly in Bologna) is the food. We tried cheese in the old market streets, followed a platter of meats, cheese, and vegetables (served with wine), and then onto dinner where we got to try some delicious pasta dishes. The evening finished with a trip to a geletaria which topped off an excellent tour. Highly reccomend!!

This cooking class was so much fun! We learned a lot about the food and culture. And the lasagna and gelato were delicious!!!

The directions are easy to follow. We enjoyed seeing the points of interest on our own schedule and not being rushed as some tours are. I would enjoy more of these activities in other cities also.

Absolutely loved this experience. Being able to ride through the Italian countryside, past a Palazzo from the 16th century, along a river and through estates was amazing. Gessica was so helpful with transportation information and a super guide. Definitely recommend!!

A good quick tour. Highlighting history, architecture and Bologna "secrets". Our guide was amazing and really knew his history of Europe.
