Bayeux Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

We had an amazing experience. Adrien was our guide, and we would give him a 10 out of 5 star review, if we could. He was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and very personable. We were full of questions, and Adrien had the answers. Visiting the D-Day sites was moving and memorable. The tour was 8 hours+, and that didn't even include the Airborne Museum, which requires a visit of its own. We very Highly recommend this tour. Ask for Adrien.

We had a very knowledgeable guide who took us through the history of D Day with a clear explanation of how the day came to fruition. The DDay museum was also a nice exhibit.

Wonderful tour with a small group and very knowledgeable and personable guide. Our guide Louis's love for the Mont was evident and he made a point of making our experience a memorable one. Highly recommended!

Great tour with a knowledgeable guide covering the historic aspects in depth, Morgane had a binder of maps and photos she used to explain in depth aspects of the invasion. Tip: be patient waiting for pickup as there will be many vans and buses there at the same time, but the drivers will walk the crowd with signs showing the names of who they are picking up,

Our guide Yves was superior to any guide I’ve ever had. He picked us up in Paris and we drove to Normandy. We spent 2 full days with him and he returned us to Paris for our next flight.The inside information and the details he knew were outstanding. If I was you, I wouldn’t use anyone else for a full tour of Normandy.

Immanuel was an excellent guide. Very knowledgeable and had answers and pictures for every question we posed. He helped us think about things we might not ever had thought about.

We had an amazing day with Stephen exploring Mont Saint Michele and the Brittany American Cemetery. Stephen was very knowledgeable about the Mont and also shared insights on D-Day, as well as strategies before and after the invasion. Note that much of the time spent inside the Mont is with a self-directed tablet tour and therefore lacks the personal touch of an interactive guide. Also, one takes the bus from the parking lot to the Mont and back, so if one is interested in walking to the Mont (the time for which is not available for this tour), consider other options. But this was still very much worthwhile and we very much enjoyed our time with Stephen.

This was a bucket list item for us and it did not disappoint. The train from Paris to Bayeux was early, but easy. Our tour guide, Aurelie, was perfect and incredibly knowledgeable about the locations, the events, and had photographs to accompany her commentary. The tour included the American Cemetery, Utah and Omaha beaches, St Mere Eglise, Arromanches, Point du Hoc, and the Utah Beach Museum. We had lunch in St Mere Eglise and were able to walk around the town and shop a little.

Being this was our second trip in two years, we were skeptical that our guide could outperform last year’s. We were pleasantly surprised and impressed with our guide, Alan! His knowledge and passion for the history were evident and unmatched! He clearly had done much research and had brochures, slides, photos, and articles that were from his private collection. He has a Master’s in history and was an excellent teacher/guide! I thought the tour was a bit overpriced but he was excellent!

Excellent experience due to the excellent preparation of the guide, Louis, who, in addition to demonstrating excellent competence, was also very thorough and clear in his explanations. Very pleasant!

We had a wonderful personal tour of Normandy and Omaha Beach with Rodolphe. His knowledge, passion, and respect for the history of this sacred place made the experience unforgettable.Walking the beaches, seeing the battle sites, and hearing the stories of the brave soldiers who fought there was deeply moving. Rodolphe brought the history to life in a way that was personal, thoughtful, and incredibly meaningful.If you are visiting Normandy, I highly recommend taking a tour with Rodolphe. It was truly one of the highlights of our trip to France.

Jeremy gave an excellent tour of the British and American landing beaches and American cemetery at 4pm for Taps and lowering of the flag. We wrapped up our tour with a cider tasting. Highly recommend Jeremy. He added information about the Normandy region and history.

Liv was an amazing guide! Very friendly, knowledgeable and flexible with our itinerary. The Range Rover was fun and we would highly recommend this tour!!
