A Wonderful Day at Sea on the Gorgeous Sailing Nireas
Overall, we really enjoyed our trip on the Nireas and can definitely recommend it! Our itinerary included beautiful stops at Lalaria beach, a beach on Skopelos, and a short final break at Arkos beach.
The boat itself is gorgeous and very comfortable. The kids absolutely loved jumping into the water from the bow, and the wooden platform with a ladder at the back makes getting in and out of the sea very easy. It was also great that fins, snorkels, and a paddleboard were available to borrow.
The catering was nice. We were welcomed with coffee and a croissant, followed by light snacks (olives, bread, cheese, and chips) during the sail. Lunch was a delicious Moussaka and Greek salad. There was always plenty of water, wine, and other beverages available.
There were a few downsides. Unfortunately, Maria couldn't join us due to some "paperwork," so Antonio took care of us alone. He tried his best and kept the drinks and food coming, but there was no other entertainment on board, and the music was barely audible. Additionally, while the boat is lovely, 15 people feels like the absolute maximum capacity—it was quite cramped during mealtime.
My biggest regret was the boat's speed. We sailed very slowly, meaning that during the 7-hour trip, we only had time for three 40-minute stops. Even standard boats were faster than us. Because it was a completely windless day, the slow pace meant it got exceptionally hot on board.
Despite these details, we had a lovely time and really enjoyed the cruise!
