We were picked up by our own driver and guide, Vlad, who was amazing! He spoke perfect English and had amazing knowledge of all the places we visited. We didn’t realise we had to get tickets for Peles castle and they had sold out online. Vlad went out of his way to get us some tickets so we were very grateful. All the sites were amazing, loved every minute.

The visits to Sighisoara and Sibiu were breathtaking and unmissable, but the real value in this two day tour lies in the chance to explore the history and culture of Transylvania in a much greater depth by visiting picturesque fortified churches, monasteries, water mills and fortresses, which are typically quieter and less frequented by tourists despite their historical significance. Our guide, Florin, was extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

This was an excellent tour. We had 2 full days on this private tour with a very friendly and knowledgeable guide (Laura). On the 2nd day there were road closures due to a sporting event so Laura quickly devised an alternate route to make sure we stopped at other sites that were fantastic. We are very glad that we added this tour to the end of our river cruise. This was significantly less expensive than the cruise line's post cruise extension offer. We have used Cool Destinations on prior trips to Europe and we have never been disappointed.

Christian lived up to the all the reviews in his name. Our group was just two people and we felt comfortable from the beginning. We started at about 8am the first day and ended back in Bucharest about 4pm the second day. You’ll have to purchase tickets to peles castle online and physically at bean’s castle. The tour is best for those who want to live at their own pace and not having a tour guide that has to follow an agenda, you will be completely in charge of experience.

I highly recommend Timisoara City Tours to anyone looking to explore the area, we went on the One Day in Transylvania tour and absolutely loved it! It’s a long day but undoubtedly worth it for an intimate tour experience (just us and two others) where they picked us up from our accommodations and were happy to work with our specific needs. We were staying in the no-car-zone in the city centre but our guide Andrei found us a convenient pickup location right near by. Andrei was fantastic, on top of being an expert guide he was incredibly friendly, accommodating, and communicative from the time of our booking through to the end of the tour. He brought us to some amazing places that we would have never known about otherwise and gave us great intel at each stop. This was one of the best tour experiences we’ve had anywhere that we’ve travelled. I’m certain you won’t regret booking any of their tours!

We had an amazing experience and loved every minute of this tour. Eddie is extremely knowledgeable and was an excellent tour guide ensuring that we were well taken care of. Hotel accommodation in the heart of the citadel was fantastic - amazing to wake up and move around before the crowds come. I thought two days would be enough but it’s not. Transylvania is AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL! Eddie helps you purchase your tickets at the locations, suggesting where you can eat and providing other helpful information. If you are thinking of doing a tour with Eddie, book it. You won’t be disappointed!
