My husband's family is from the small town of Bovino in Foggia. We wanted to visit this town with the hope of finding out more about his maternal family roots. Gaspare, from Mondo Guide, was our amazing driver and guide for this experience. Gaspare went above and beyond to help us find out information, including birth certificates, about my husband's family and even found the street my husbands grandfather and great grandfather lived on in Bovino. Had an amazing time on this tour ! Marco was very informative and an excellent driver. He made our day extremely special and was able to get all our requests in even though we had limited time. We truly appreciated everything he did to make this an extraordinary experience!!

What a fun day. We started our day by meeting our guide and driver, Massimo, just outside the cruise terminal in Naples. It was a little chaotic finding him, as it was a bit of a hike to get outside the terminal, and then very crowded once we got outside the gates, as there were hundreds of drivers there to meet their assigned tours for the day. Once we got going, it was a brief 45 minute driver to Mt. Vesuvius. Massimo got us up as high as we could go, but then we had to hike about one kilometer to the rim of the volcano. We spent a few minutes listening to the guides they have up there, but mostly just walked around the rim and took in the views. It was rather hazy the day we were there so the view was not as good as it likely is on a good day, but impressive nonetheless. After coming off the mountain, we made our way to the ancient city of Pompeii. This was a little disappointing as they charge us $25 to enter and it was a sea of hot, sweaty people trying get get around the ancient uneven stone roads of the city. And sooooo many people with strollers. It made our visit less than desirable, but it was still impressive and humbling to see this city firsthand. Books and photographs simply do not compare to seeing this city firsthand. We finished our day visiting the Bocco do Medici winery not far from the ruins and enjoyed a wonderful meal and some fantastic wine before heading back to the city to get on our boat.The winery visit was definitely the highlight of this tour, but Pompeii and Vesuvius were also enjoyable. Be mindful to travel light, wear good walking shoes and bring water with you when you go, as there are not many places to purchase water or drinks without paying a small fortune for it.The only hiccup we had with this tour was that Massimo’s English was rather broken. We could communicate, but it was challenging at times because he couldn’t understand what we were saying or asking. Despite being lost in communication at times, this trip was a lot of fun.The other caution I would express for people taking this tour is to make sure you try and contact the tour group a day or two before taking the tour. They purchase Vesuvius tickets for you as part of the tour, but we were not given these and Massimo was forced to be the middle man for us to get these tickets and it was a bit of a hassle, especially when you are at the entrance of Vesuvius and the cell signal on your phone is almost non-existent. To it is wise to contact the tour operator beforehand to make sure you have all the tickets that they include.Lastly, know in advance that the hike up Vesuvius is moderately strenuous. The trail is somewhat steep and is not paved, so walking or hiking shoes are a definitely plus when going up or down the mountain.

Everything about this tour was amazing! Highly recommend as our private guide (Max) taught us so much about Pompeii. The winery was incredible.

We had a fabulous day. Antonino was a knowledgeable and patient guide who even made being stuck in Naples rush hour interesting(!). This is a must for anyone who wants to learn more about herculaneum and surrounding area. The day was finished off with a beautiful lunch and wine tasting overlooking the bay. I can't recommend this package highly enough.

This tour was fantastic! Because our rented villa was on a pedestrian only street, I had to contact A Drive into the Blue to change our pick up location. Antonino E. replied and was the most pleasant to deal with. I was able to just text him using WhatsApp about our location change and he replied immediately. Upon pick-up, I noticed how attentive Antonino was to everyone in our party. The van was immaculate. Air conditioning worked great. We arrived at Herculaneum and we were immediately greeted by our guide, Rose Mary. She was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. We all had an enjoyable 2 hour tour. Then, Antonino drove us to Sorrentino Winery for our light lunch and wine tasting. The views were incredible, the food was fantastic, and we all enjoyed our wine tasting. On our back to our villa, Antonino drove us to a look out to see incredible views of the Bay of Naples. I definitely recommend this tour and Antonino E.

The tour with Domenico was really great! He was very personable, a great conversationalist and provided excellent information and insights into the sites and the regions. My wife was especially happy with the tour.

Our driver Domenico was super and planned our day so that we totally avoided any traffic congestion for our entire drive along Amalfi Coast including time in both Sorrento, Positano, and many picture stops of the breathtaking views. It was a perfectly glorious weather of 22C. We had a wine tasting and lunch at a vineyard then were amazed with our time exploring Herculaneum. It was truly an unbelievable experience that I shall treasure forever.

Antonio was a fabulous and very polite and knowledgeable guide. I definitely would spend your time at Herculaneum and Sorrento if you you are offered. The traffic is terrible in August and you do spend so much time in the car, but the scenery is beautiful along the Sorrento and Amalfi coast. He is an expert in Pompei and Herculaneum and is native of Sorento. He was by far the best guide we experienced in the whole of Italy or Greece. We visited Positano but it was crowded hot and hilly. Small, hot, beach with dark sand and thousands of people on a small beach area were not idyllic as we had imagined. The clothing is beautiful but hard to gauge size and can't really try on due to heat and sweating. The region is known for lemons and limoncello and we visited the Limoncello di Capri factory. Nice Place.

Giovanni, our guide, was on time and very kind and knowledgable of the area. Although the roads were narrow and curvy, Giovanni safely delivered to Vesuvius. The winery visit was next and the tour guide, servers, food, wine tasting and grounds were phenomenal! Our last stop was Pompeii. Giovanni was unable to guide us during this tour. If you are unfamiliar with Pompeii, I definitely recommend hiring a guide. Highly recommend this tour!

Antonino was AMAZING!!!!!! He picked us up from the cruise port, we went to the Amalfi Coast and visited gorgeous Ravello and spent time in Positano. He was very patient with our kids and told us so much about the history and the region! He highly, highly recommend him!!!! Kids appreciated little candy treats from him. Grazie mille!!!!!
