Very interesting walking tour with sympathetic guide. In 1.5 hours you get a good insight into the old town and suggestions for further visits and refreshments.

From the outside the cathedral looks huge but when you go home it looks smaller but so beautiful that you are speechless. I recommend the guided tour that allows you to go upstairs. Do not miss the treasure that is also magnificent, the town hall and the center Charlemagne

It was an excellent experience and enriched my knowledge of the history of the city of Aachen. It was interesting to learn something about the water, about the different fountains and of course about the cathedral.

This walking Tour of the old town will take 1.5h and inform you about key elements of Aachen culture.The route we took was easy to walk, wheelchair accessible (as far as I can remember).Starting at the Elisembrunnen an informative guide will show you around ending the tour at the Katschhof with several stops in between.I enjoyed the mix of mythical and historical information but would have replaced the "Kreislauf des Geldes" with the "Bahkauv" fountain as I find its story a lot more compelling but ah well - leaves you sth. to explore on your own.All in all a good place to start if you want to know more about the city and its origins.
