Exceptional High Road to Taos Tour — Ask for Linda!
Our group had a wonderful full-day High Road to Taos tour from Santa Fe with Heritage Inspirations. It was easily one of the highlights of our time in Santa Fe.What we loved most was the variety of the day. Instead of simply driving to Taos and stopping at a few sights, we got to experience the history, culture, food, art, and Pueblo communities of Northern New Mexico along the way. It gave us a much deeper appreciation for the area and felt like we were experiencing a side of New Mexico we never would have discovered on our own.Our guide, Linda, was exceptional. Everyone in our group commented on what a wonderful communicator she was. She is incredibly knowledgeable, but just as importantly, she knows how to share that knowledge in a way that is interesting, conversational, and engaging. The day never felt like a lecture or a typical sightseeing tour.I've taken many guided tours, and the quality of the guide can completely change the experience. Linda made this one special. I would absolutely recommend Heritage Inspirations and the High Road to Taos tour, and I will be recommending Linda to my own clients visiting Santa Fe and Northern New Mexico.A fascinating, authentic, and thoroughly enjoyable day. Five stars!

Taos Downtown Self Guided App Walking Tour908cherylj, Sep 2026
A VERY good self-guided tour!
This self-guided tour was VERY good! The instructions on how to download and use the app were really clear and easy. I liked that the narrative was linked to location, so when we arrived at the next stop on the tour, the narrative automatically started up again. The tour took us around to the main historical sites in the downtown area, and gave us a lot of background info. on each site. And I could replay a section of the narrative if I wanted to hear it again. Similarly, I could pause the narrative if I wanted to explore a site. The walk itself was about 2 miles. total; we spent about 90 min. to 2 hrs. walking it. And honestly, you can’t beat the VERY reasonable price. Based on our experience today, I’d book with Walkn Tours again.

Taos layover
Very satisfied with the accommodations and fair pricing. The rooms appeared to have been recently remodeled, and the interior was excellent. As expected, the beds weren’t quite like the one at home, but they were comfortable enough.

Lots of Diverse Knowledge
We really enjoyed having Sam as our guide. His diversity of knowledge covered the local history, flora, food, and then some. Definitely recommend this tour.

Get to know Taos!
Our tour guide, Kailey, is passionate about Taos and its' indigenous population. Her local knowledge of Taos history, especially some of its unique characters, made the stops along the ride fascinating. Truly, I would go again today and our ride was just yesterday morning. It was my first time on an e-bike, what a game changer! Needless to say, we had fun, the bikes ran great, and it was a glorious way to explore Taos.

Fall in Love With Taos!
Our first time in Taos, and I cannot imagine a better introduction to this truly amazing and unique locale. We came for the chocolate (which was beyond delicious) but were absolutely won over and blown away by the art, culture, and history! Every stop was well chosen and deeply informative. Our guides (Michelle and Gabby) were so knowledgeable and personable and helped make this tour one of a kind (in the best possible way). Already can’t wait to get back to Taos!

Creative Soul Scavenger Hunt of TaosGau-Lee, Oct 2024
Great family time
We met our adult daughter and her boyfriend first a ling weekend. We were looking for things to do and found this scavenger hunt on Tripadviser. We had a lot of fun and a lot of laughs interacting with the locals and being silly. This was well put together and easy to follow. We did not finish in time as we were distracted by places we found and people we met. This was a great way to spend a couple of hours.

Creative and engaging with surprises!
Creative and immersive game!
I hadn’t done a scavenger hunt and had no idea what to expect but this game was filled with fun surprises and interesting stories about the history of Taos.
We got great photos we shared with family back home and met some fun locals who helped us and even bought one a candy apple as the friendliest local award!
We loved visiting Sunset Park,a gem in the heart of Taos.

Raging Red River Scavenger HuntJenn N, Aug 2023
AlleyKat Adventures - Red River Scavenger Hunt Was A BLAST!
This was such a fun experience! I met my lifelong friend and her husband in Red River for the weekend. We spent all day Sunday having fun with the Red River Scavenger Hunt. It’s supposed to be two hours long but we wanted to continue finishing all the scavenger hunt missions and could do that at no extra cost. We played with it all day!
Things I wouldn’t have done if I hadn’t been on the scavenger hunt:
1. Visited a candy store and re-experience the candy of my childhood! Some of it was as delicious as I remembered, some not.
2. Ridden the ski lift to take beautiful pictures at the top.
3. Visited a haunted hotel.
4. Pretended to do yoga at the park (we are all 69 years old, out shape and fat so it was hilarious!)
5. Had a peanut butter and banana milkshake.
6. Skipped rocks on the river.
7. Explored a ghost town.
I’ve been to Red River many times but this was a new way to experience it! I went to places and saw things that I didn’t even know existed before.
The scavenger hunt was a blast! The hosts, Kate and Trisha, stayed in contact with us throughout the day and cheered us on.
Try it out! I want there to be one in my town (Los Alamos) now!

Best Rio Grande excursion in Taos!!!
Tara’s personalized expedition for our family went well beyond our expectations! We were seeking to recharge and reconnect, and explore Taos nature in a unique way off the beaten path. Tara’s well thought out plan for us definitely did the trick! With her local connections, we were able to experience some beautiful private areas along the river owned by a wonderful artist couple who allowed us to explore on our own as long as we wanted. The hiking trails were also amazing and different from the norm. You can go a short distance or longer—whatever you’re up for.The mission was full of diverse activities that suit any personality, and you can choose as little or as much as you want. This experience was absolutely perfect and got our vacation off to a great start! Thank you, Tara!!!
