To be recommended by a fellow tour guide is high praise indeed, and John Prichard of Celticos did not disappoint. After I gave him a profile of our multi-generational group's interests, John designed an absolutely perfect tour of North Wales that we all thoroughly enjoyed. With casual, relaxed conversation, we learned about the history, culture, language, lore, legends, and natural wonders. In nine hours, we toured breathtaking sights of Anglesey Island, Caernarfon, Snowdonia National Park and its villages. We stopped at comfortable intervals to take small hikes, visit castles, historic sites, and enjoy uniquely Welsh refreshments in local pubs and cafes. We did so much in one day but never felt rushed or overwhelmed. John is knowledgeable, fun, and great at communicating. We found him to be generous with his time, extending our original itinerary and even helping us plan a self-guided tour for the next day. The rate was very reasonable and worth every penny. We highly recommend Celticos Tours. Diolch, John!

Fantastic day with our knowledgeable guide David. This was our first time in Wales and we are so glad we spent the day on this tour. We have to come back and take more time to see all these sights!

This was a great tour. David, our tour guide was excellent. Our only comment is we would have liked more time in both towns. I’m not sure you can do an 8 hour tour, and I’m not sure we would have signed up for such a long one, but we did so enjoy, we would like more time. Or we would have eliminated the funicular, although very nice, the villages were the highlight. But we highly recommend. And the tour operator stayed in touch with me from the time I signed up until we were on the van. We also appreciated the small group. Thank you Pilar and David!

First of all I must say how nice John is! He communicated with me several times and on tour day picked us up at the cruise terminal. He is very proud of Wales and took us around giving the history of each place on our itinerary along with stops for photos, a little shopping and even provided a sample of some delicious pastries along with a delicious elderflower drink! We also stopped for lunch near his home. Wales is beautiful and exceeded our expectations! We took several beautiful photos and truly enjoyed spending the day with John! If you are lucky enough to go to Wales and get John as your guide you will have a perfect day like we did!

The tour was a good introduction to Northern Wales. We visited castles, drove through the mountains, and took a waterfall hike in Snowdonia National Park. We really enjoyed the trip and everything was as described when I booked it.

Shelly and Phil were outstanding, the stops were wonderful and this was a great experience.

An amazing and excellent day with Gareth! Morning to evening, we explored, learned about history, and saw things on that we would never have seen. This truly is one of those days in life that changes your perspective. I will never forget it. Gareth was a great host and guide! The day was planned and customized. Every detail fit together wonderfully. With lovely options along the way. Thank you!

We really enjoy booking the smaller group tours for our port calls and were not disappointed with this one. The small bus was the perfect size for the small group of 16 for the day, we were able to see everything as described in the tour and a couple of other quickies too! David the guide was extremely knowledgeable with extensive knowledge of Wales and our stops. Allen the driver was fast and safe! If you are in Wales, I definitely recommend seeing it with a smaller group, way more flexible and a lot more personal attention than booking the experience with a big bus. Top Tours and Cool Destinations did good with this one!

The group was very attentive to our issues in debarking the ship which resulted in a 45-minute delay. David was a great guide in his explanations and stories. He regrouped the schedule and got us to our sites in a timely fashion. Our time in Conwy was necessarily shortened by we had time to explore. The tramway was a fun experience and the views from the top of the Olm were amazing. We chose not to go into Caernarfon Castle but enjoyed the exterior views and the shops. Allen, our driver, navigated some tight areas. He was helpful and attentive to the needs of loading and unloading wheelchairs. I would highly recommend both of them.

"John of Wales," which is the moniker we bestowed on him, invited us into a deeper experience and appreciation of Welsh culture, language, and way of life. His profound understanding of the history, longings, struggles, and contribution of the Welsh people led us to “fall in love” with the Welsh by experiencing them through John’s open and loving heart. At every step along the way -- both planning and conducting our tour -- John was responsive, insightful, and always ready to make our tour custom-designed to fit our interests. We couldn't have been more pleased with our time with John.

if you are going to spend time in northern Wales, which seems to be an underrated travel destination, with its beautiful landscapes, colorful coastal towns and magnificent old castles, you would be very lucky to have John Pritchard from Célticos as your guide. He took us around Wales for three days and then drove us back to a suburb of London where we were staying stopping at Stratford Upon Avon on the way back. The itinerary he put together for us was flawless. HIs knowledge of the area where he grew up, combined with his kindness and easy to be around attitude, made the trip very special. We started watching welcome to Wrexham and we had a tour of Wrexham with the ex director of the football club and got to meet some of the locals . The hotel we chose from his many suggestions was perfect for us. I am already thinking of going back and doing another part of Wales with him. If you are considering Wales, and you should, John is your perfect choice of a guide.

Busy Bee provided a great experience and our tour guide, Shelly, and our driver, Phil, were so helpful and accommodating to our group. They are funny and so much fun. We were able to learn a lot about Wales, the history, and folklore. The countryside was beautiful. There was something for everyone on this trip.

Our tour guide was Shelly and she and the bus driver made a remarkable team. She gave us so much information and entertainment along the way the trip was superb. The excursion was unexpectedly beautiful! You must do this if you wanna see different aspects of Wales. It was very informative. Well paced enough time to see everything and it stayed very interesting. No head nodding/dozing off on this trip.

We we're sent instructions about where to meet by the tour manager which were very helpful. Our guide, David met us as promised and we boarded a small, comfortable coach. We really enjoyed the castle and the surrounding town. The town of Conway was also a beautiful spot. We also got to see the town with the longest name. It was fun. Our guide David gave us some great insights to and info about the towns and surrounding areas, as well as some of the engineering feats it took to make them possible. He was very personable, knowledgeable, and accommodating. Our driver, Alan was great ad well. We thoroughly enjoyed this tour and would highly recommend it. The only issue I have is we had a time limit because we were on a cruise ship. I wish it were an hour longer.

We visited 2 very quaint towns. David, our tour guide, was extremely informative with lots of history information. A bit of positive feedback would be that it would be nice to have some breaks from the commentary, particularly on the return.

David and Alan were fabulous! Interesting, loved the towns and castles. Wish we had more time to explore and shop
