Top Munich Romantic Tours

This tour to Rothenburg and Harburg Castle was worth the time and money. Rothenburg looks like it's out of a fairytale book. It is a good day trip. The only complaint that we would have is that we wish we could have had more time there. The tour gave us 3 hours to check out the town. We spent a little over an hour at the Harburg castle which was enough time. The drive from Munich is 3 hours each way. This tour is a full day. The tour guide Felicia was very informative and pleasant.

A fun experience but I would have been content to just spend the time in Rothenberg as opposed to going to both locations.When in Rothenberg, the guide offered to make a reservation at a restaurant for us. I accepted but, looking back, I would have rather just explored on my own rather than using our limited time on a sit-down lunch. The food, however, was very good.Our guide was great, gave great information, and was eager to answer all our questions. Overall, I would recommend the tour but advise to skip the sit down lunch if offered and explore Rothenberg more.

Karl was our private driver for the marvelous day from Munich to Rothenburg via the Romantic Road. We started with a private tour of Marburg Castle. Then we continued on through several towns along the Romantic Road and walked through some of them before spending a few hours in Rothenburg. We returned via the autobahn. It was a great day. Karl gave us so much information about the area and was accommodating with our stops along the way.

Karl was a wonderful guide: knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. The stunning villages were a joy, and the castle add-on is a must. Great day trip!

Our private tour to Zugspitze was everything my husband and I expected. Our guide, Tom, picked us up at our hotel in Munich and transported us to the mountain. Once there, he left us for three hours to have time to ourselves to explore the mountaintop, glacier area, and have lunch. Afterward, we walked to the beautiful blue/green lake below. Next, we were off to leisurely explore the village of Garmisch. He also took us to the 1936 Winter Olympics Stadium. Tom was very friendly and informative during the tour. We highly recommend this tour and Tom as a guide.

If you're not familiar with this part of Germany, you will enjoy learning about the history and visiting an amazing preserved castle and a Medieval city. Every step presents a photo opportunity. Beautiful.

Felicia and our driver were great. Very organized and on time. Harzburg castle was very cool and Rotenburg was an amazing place. So glad we made the trip and was able to enjoy these areas outside Munich

Our family of four absolutely loved our day with Karl. He was very friendly, knowledgeable, and flexible while still keeping us on schedule without feeling rushed at all. He made great suggestions for lunch/food, shopping, and activities for free time in Rothenburg, and he seemed to really enjoy showing us around in general. We finished the tour having a much deeper understanding of the Bavarian area especially with the Nuremberg add on. The day went by so quickly. I highly recommend this tour.

We had a great day with Karl! The sites were beautiful and he meshed beautifully with our family. Karl was full of info and fun!

I recommend the trip to this beautiful town. The guide Felicia, very kind and attentive at all times and she explained the whole journey to us very well.

Although the castle was very interesting, by the time we got to Rothenburg, I was ready for lunch. Even though we went to a restaurant that was very quick, it didn't leave much time for shopping. I only had time for two stores. I would suggest either taking your lunch and eating on the bus so you have more time in the town. Or, perhaps the company could think about doing a different trip that doesn't include the castle and just goes right to Rothenburg.

The tour guide gave an excellent tour of the area. Saw the highlights and learned the history. Dimitri is an awesome guide.

Great day out visiting a medieval castle and a romantic village. We spent a bit over an hour visiting the castle which was in a good condition. We learned stories of medieval life and the castle’s occupants. Then we drove to the beautiful romantic village where we had about 2.5H to spend. Some people started the visit in a restaurant but then hardly had 1H left for the village to visit. I don’t recommend to do this, there were lots of take away restaurants and coffee places to relax and eat after the visit. The village really worth walking around and soak in the atmosphere. The tour guide was very knowledgable and friendly and gave us lots of information throughout the day.

Great trip - the castle is well preserved and interesting and the town is magical. Recommend walking along the city walls.

Very nice city, worth visiting, although 2 hours bus drive.
