Amazing experience on the Adventure Trail Today! From start to finish, our guides Ricky and Jorge made the entire trip unforgettable. They kept the energy high, had us laughing the whole time, and turned any nervousness into excitement especially for my niece, who felt completely at ease after second guessing the jump for 10mins lol Thanks to their encouragement and support she made the jump. What made this adventure even more special was how much we learned along the way. Ricky and Jorge shared fascinating information about the Taínos, local plants, fruits, and reptiles, making the experience both fun and educational. It started to rain a little, but it made the experience that much better. This is great if you’re scared of zip lining, but still want to get a taste of it! Promise you, you’ll walk away smiling and your heart happy! Thank You Ricky and Jorge till next time from your NY crew :)

Our guide Rafael was amazing and kept us engaged the whole time! He was a great driver too. The kayaking half didn't have the bioluminescence active at that time but the two guides we had were still making our experience incredibly immersive! We learned alot about the history, environment, and some of the language on our trip, and everyone was helpful with any questions! Happy birthday Rafael thanks for the great tour!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐We had an amazing experience from start to finish! Angel was an outstanding tour guide, seamlessly giving the tour in both English and Spanish so everyone felt included. His upbeat personality made the entire experience fun, and he even made our honeymoon feel extra special.Although the bioluminescence wasn’t visible due to the weather, the company immediately offered us several options to make it right. That same evening, I was notified that a partial refund was already being processed without me even having to ask.That level of honesty and customer service is rare. They are incredibly reputable, and I would absolutely book with them again!

So much more than just a tour!
Phenomenal tour of the island! I really appreciated how we went to less touristy areas and hung out at coffee shops where Laura knew people. The falls were spectacular, and I loved talking with Laura about the history of tourism in Puerto Rico. An outstanding experience that made me appreciate Puerto Rico so much deeper than any basic post card could convey. Definitely recommend to anyone who doesn’t want to feel like a tourist exploiting the island!

A Real Hidden Gem!
Amazing experience! Beautiful waterfalls and mountain views too as we drove around, would have gone just for the car ride honestly. The spots were way less crowded than El Yunque and just as beautiful. Laura was a fantastic, knowledgeable guide and took us to some great local coffeeshops. 10/10 would recommend!

Great time on the Pork Highway Tour
Was curious about the Pork Highway but without renting a car, I didn't think it was an option. Then I decided to search some of the tour websites & came across Sofrito Tours. The name got my attention & wanting to support a local company helped me make my decision. I reached out to Laura with questions and she immediately responded which made me feel comfortable enough to book it. She even was able to accommodate some family that wanted to join us at the last minute. It was a fun & interesting experience to head up the mountains and see another side of the island outside of San Juan. Both our stops to eat were delicious. The atmosphere was colorful, full of restaurants & souvenir shops. With music blaring, authentic food and great company, it definitely was a "vibe" to remember!

My husband and I took Laura Ortiz's Pork Highway Tour and Old San Juan, Loiza, Santurce and Pinones Tour. We especially liked that Laura is the owner of the woman-owned Puerto Rican tour company, Sofrito Tours. The owner of the Old San Juan B&B where we stayed (Casa Sol) highly recommended Laura's tours. Laura is a PhD candidate in Puerto Rican studies and she added so much history and cultural background to the tours. Based on Laura's recommendation we bought a historical analysis of Puerto Rico's history. We felt like we learned so much about Puerto Rico while enjoying a fun day out with an excellent tour guide. We highly recommend Sofrito Tours to people who want to learn about Puerto Rico's culture, history, and gastronomy.
