Top Chania Day Cruises

We used Seaze the Day to book a private boat to visit Balos, Gramvousa, and Falassarna and our skipper Lefteris was great! The boat worked out well and the sandwiches, fruit, breakfast pastries, snacks, and drinks were well received by the group of both kids and adults. We were quite well fed for a casual boat lunch and Lefteris was quite well prepared if we were still hungry. Would highly recommend them for private boat tours!

Excellent trip to 2 fabulous locations. Good organisation of travel arrangements. The guide explained all that we needed to know while we were travelling to the boat. Once on the boat the day was ours to decide where to go and what to do at each location. Would highly recommend.

This is a fantastic trip and well worth doing. The Lagoon is stunning. The hike up the Venetian fort a must. The only negative is you need a backside made of lead - the coach journey from Chania was approx. 2 hours each way - basically due to pick ups (please be on time: it's not fair having to wait for late comers) and drop offs.

I think this tour was organised and executed as well as possible given the difficult circumstances of travel between Crete and Santorini and trying to fit the event into 1 day. I have always wanted to visit Santorini, but did not have the availability to stay on the Island itself - so when I saw there was a day tour to the island from Crete, I was so excited. The day was long, don't get me wrong. With a tour bus pick up at 6am, a 1.5 hour drive to the port at Crete, then a 2.5 hour ferry to Santorini, and another 45 minute bus ride to the first town. In saying this however, the Ferry and the Santorini bus were very comfortable, and the tour guide on the bus was knowledgeable and gave so many fun facts about the island to keep us entertained for the drives between Santorini towns. The time spent in the towns was adequate for taking pictures, shopping a little, and looking around in the streets. In Fira, the second town we visited, we had time for lunch also which was nice 😊 On the Ferry trip back the staff provided live greek music and encouraged the guests to dance around the boat which was fun. The final bus back to Chania from the port was a little rough, as it took a long time with traffic and passenger delays - and the driver did not announce which stop he was at, so I always worried I had missed mine, but other than that it was a good trip and worth the money so I could tick Santorini off my bucket list ❤️

This trip was definitely the highlight of my stay in Crete. The transportation was arranged well, with a 1.5-2hour drive to Sfakion followed by a ferry boat to Loutro which only took about 10 minutes. The lady on the tour contact centre Ria was very kind and explained the arrangements and trip details very well. Our driver was also good and managed the curvy roads well, accompanied by a nice lady as the tour guide. Loutro itself is a tiny pretty coast where you can swim have food and relax. I recommend going to the beach at the end of Loutro, renting a paddle board and enjoying the day the fullest

Great trip to Balos and Gramvousa Beach! The ferry to the beach was quite large and clean with convenient cafe for drinks/food and "beach stuff". Balos Beach was incredible with amazing clear water! Gramvousa beach was more rocky but nice and it you want, you can climb up to the castle. My only criticism is that the ferry should leave a little ealier (like 10am) to give us more time at Balos Beach. But we loved this trip and would recommend to everyone!

If someone from Europe is looking for warmth, peace, solitude, hikes, deserted beaches, and friendly locals, especially during the winter months, then they should head to the island of Maio (Cape Verde). Lavilson is a friendly, athletic, experienced local guide who speaks Portuguese and Creole, as well as very good English. He will take you anywhere in his private car (convertible - 4-wheel drive) or with a chauffeur and will show you all the island's beauties. He also offers shorter transfers. I've had the absolute best experiences with him. Book something with him; you won't regret it!

Loved this experience! Our tour guide (forgot her name) was lovely and on top of everything. Our driver Nikko was great too. They communicated with us all along the way and answered all of our questions. Especially at the bus stop where there were multiple travel agencies and multiple busses. The ferry ride was great and had wonderful selection of food and drinks. Balos was stunning! A must see beach- especially for our 3 teenagers. The Gramvousa (2nd stop) was also very beautiful. Highly recommend!!

We spend a lovely day on beautiful beaches of Balos Lagoon and Gramvousa island. Trip was very well organized. Our guide George is amazing! Speaks english, german and french fluently, instructions were clear, he cares abour tourists needs. Thank you!

We had a wonderful experience! We booked a boat for our group of 6 to go to Balos Lagoon in the afternoon. Balos lagoon has 7,000 tourists a day. The good news is they leave on ferries around 4pm. Our private boat tour arrived around 4:30pm so we missed the crowds. There were around 30 people there when we got there. Our captain, Lefteris, was wonderful! He took us to a cave which had goats. We also went to Granvousa Island and hiked up to the fort on top which was the highlight of the trip. The views were amazing. You must have good knees for the hike as some of the rock steps can be 3 feet taller than the last step but it’s worth it. Lefteris also took us to a WW2 shipwreck which we snorkeled around. Our 11 year old boys loved it! We booked a 4 hour trip but overran our time by at least an hour which was no problem for Lefteris. He was very kind in not rushing us and it was a wonderful experience. By far, the boat trip was the highlight of our trip to Greece!

This is a must do! I learned so much about Crete while soaking in the Mediterranean sun and sea. Mikas and George are excellent captains a guides. They made the trip exceptional. It was so great we booked another trip for the following day. Don’t miss it!
