We went on a tour led by Pat, he was knowledgeable, polite, friendly and showed respect to all. Pat provided well researched facts on each stop, he did so in a manner that was easily understood and he actively encouraged questions. We all walked away with so much knowledge of German culture, history, challenges and it's people. The tour is well worth participating in. Wear comfortable shoes, wear layers and bring water with you. Be prepared for 10,000 plus steps.

Fantastic tour today. Felix is a superb guide, highly knowledgeable and informative with a sprinkling of humour. Well worth the price. From start to finish the tour was very enjoyable, just the right length of time. The small tour group size made it seem like a personal experience, this was made even better by having such a diverse group. I would throughly recommend this tour to both new visitors and those returning to Berlin.

Great tour with a really good guide, Darren. He was funny and knowledgeable and it was so nice to go off the beaten track to some lovely old pubs. It was also so nice to sit and have a drink and chat to the other people on the tour who were from all over the world. Would thoroughly recommend this if you like a beer and socialising whilst learning about Berlin. Excellent thank you Darren.

The concentration camp itself is almost demolished, but the true value is the guide Felipe, who details for us how, through politics and after World War I, the Second World War and the concentration camps began to take shape. Excellent.

Local craft beer gems and some East Berlin Lore
This craft beer tour is an excellent and bang for your buck way to have some low pressure, high value fun while learning a little slice of the magic that is all over East Berlin. As a first timer visiting, the guide Alex did a great job of personalizing a tour that was fun, educational AND had several flights of BEER. We met at Ostkreutz, very easy to find, with introductions and some historical references of the area and got an overview of what to expect on our 3+ hour excursion. I’d already been exploring the area a bit, but having a local explain some of the historical references added layers to things I had even previously seen that I really appreciated. The guide was personable and engaging, and our group of 4 was at ease heading to a local craft brewery where a pre-panned flight of different beer was arranged and served at a private, quiet table in the back. I loved this place so much that I went back twice after the tour was over on subsequent days! Not only were the beer choices excellent but Alex knew a ton about the history of small batch brewing throughout Germany and Central Europe. I think we’ve probably all heard that beer, for a long time, was safer to drink than water in many cities. Alex made sure to remind us to use the facilities before leaving and I definitely appreciated that because if you don’t already know, there’s no readily available toilets for public access in Berlin! We then took a walk through some neighborhoods and got some architectural and historical references that I would have otherwise missed, asked questions and got recommendations for other places to check out and he even arranged for us to have a ‘roadie’ along the way. Our last stop was a hidden beer garden that I would have never found without his help, so charming, with flowers and a large patio and another delicious beer flight and a hearty snack. As of August, 2026 we were walking through a heavily graffitied area that turns into the night clubbing area at night and there were a lot of signs talking about protecting the history and culture and music that goes on there… apparently the gentrification of East Berlin continues so who knows what will be there in the future, definitely worth getting your eyes (and taste buds) on. I tell all my friends to take this tour, it was an unforgettable day
