The hikes on the Azores were dreamlike. Emmanuela is a super likable, safe, and competent hiking guide. I look forward to hiking with her again on a new vacation.

Nunu was an amazing guide and he showed us the most beautiful spots on the island! I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see the best of the best of São Jorge. His english was also perfect, had a super clean van and answered any questions we had.

We had a wonderful evening with Hugo and Rosa and meeting new friends for an amazing home cooked alcatra. They kept the drinks flowing and there was non stop great conversation about our families, the Island history, music, and food. We felt immediately comfortable and welcome and it was the best meal we had on Terceira. Book this off the beaten path night, enjoy the local feel and make new friends. Highly recommend!

What an absolute gem of an experience. We had a fantastic time meeting Hugo, Rosa and their lovely children. They shared a delicious dinner of alcatra (local beef stew) that had been cooking in a wood-fired oven for 24 hours, as well as fresh-baked bread and traditional Dona Amélia tarts. Best of all though was just spending time with this warm, welcoming family, chatting to them about their lives and backgrounds, finding commonalities and laughing together. For families, it's a great alternative to restaurants or self-catering, as their kids (ages 15 and 12) join in too, playing outside and chatting to everyone. They have table football, plus outside space for games. It was a top highlight on our Azores trip. Highly recommended.

Emma radiates a lot of calmness when meeting new people and leaves the everyday stress at home. In her company, one feels well taken care of; she has a lot of knowledge about the land and its people. She responds flexibly to the wishes of the hiking group.

I had an excellent day with Tony from Barbosa Tours who was the executor of the trip in my case. Despite the weather had the best day and can highly recommend him!

This was by far one of our top favorite experiences on our Azores trip. Victor and his wife are wonderful hosts and amazing cooks. We had such a huge spread and were able to experience so many Terceira authentic foods. They also shared with us many stories about the history and folklore of the islands and also current events and sites to see. Victor was so prompt with communications and also extremely helpful. Even after our dinner he helped us with recommendations of places to go and see and eat at. We had a magical night and left absolutely full and quite content and happy to have met such a lovely local couple. Thank you Victor for a magical night on Terceira

Very nice expérience ! Meeting nice family! We enjoyed learning about local culture and history ! Ugo and Rosa are passionnate! And Laura ans Augusto very kind! The food was amazing, all local products! Ending the evening with 90's Rock music! Live Pearl Jam and Sound Garden !

We had a wonderful dining experience Hugo and his family. The meal was delicious and authentic and typically Azorean. We had a great night learning about Terceira and sharing music tastes. It was a wonderful experience that I truly recommend.

We had Nuno as the guide, and he showed as much of his island as he could. Unfortunately the weather didn't play along well, so that we missed some views of the north side of the island.The south was very nice though, the cheese tasting and the Sao Jorge coffee being highlights. Some places like the Parque do Sete Fontes even benefited from the misty atmosphere. Other than that Nuno patiently explained and answered questions. He gave us nice memories of the island.Very convenient that he picked us up directly at our hotel.

Emma did the tour in perfect German. Rarely have I met anyone who can provide such varied information about this island. She has more than convinced in all matters, kindness, nature, knowledge. She can do the tours in German or English and is always close to the guests. Thank you Emma

His passion for the region was reflected in the local cuisine he presented to us, providing an authentic taste of Azorean culture.I highly recommend these experiences to anyone looking for not just a destination, but an exceptional host who will make their stay truly special.

Victor picked us up from our ship, provided an informative tour, especially interesting to see the air base that was active during WW2 and now being re-activated. Upon arriving at his home we were greeted warmly by his wife, Helia, and taken into their lovely backyard/garden for several local appetizers, some cooked right in front of us. Served local wines that were delicious, while getting to know our hosts. We then moved into their dining room where we were served a traditional Azorean beef stew, slow cooked for 5 hrs in a clay pot with delightful seasonings. After supper we were served an "Amalia cake" and more wine, some made personally by our delightful hosts. We had interesting conversation, learning about some of their customs and saw video of the bull run that occurs every year right outside their home! Victor provided photos from the air base, i mentioned earlier, from when it was active and explaining how important it was/is geographically. All in all, we would heartily recommend this experience, we have shared with our friends that it was the highlight of our entire 14 day cruise. thank you, Victor and Helia.
