Zermatt Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

Unbelievable experience. If you come to Zermatt you have do this, it’s incredible. Originally booked the Ultimate experience but unfortunately due to high winds at the Matterhorn takeoff point we had to switch to an alternate at Rothorn, however this did not detract from the experience at all. Alan was absolutely first class, pointing out interesting landmarks and wildlife, and kept us flying for over 45 minutes zigzagging across the mountainside catching the thermals. The views of Zermatt and the Matterhorn are breathtaking from the ground, but from the air, just wow. I cannot recommend this operator highly enough, communication is excellent from Larissa, and Alan’s flying skills are amazing.

It was truly a remarkable experience. If you travel to Zermatt this is a must see. Our guide was so friendly and knowledgeable. He made everything safe and easy.

This is a great experience - spectacular views of the Matterhorn and neighboring peaks and glaciers all along the way. There is a short walk to the cable cars and then two cable car rides to reach the Matterhorn Glacial Paradise. Great views from up here as well as ice caves to explore. Remember to bring warm clothing! Salma our guide made the experience very interesting by telling us the history of the Zermatt town and surroundings.

This was an unbelievable tour! Tony was so friendly & knowledgeable. He gave us so much information about all the mountains besides the Matterhorn. He even gave us a little tour of the town of Zermatt. He went over & beyond.

Adam was awesome. He was on time and very professional. I am a very timid skier due to an acl/meniscus injury. My boyfriend and I most likely wouldn’t have seen half the mountain without him. He not only gave me a wonderful lesson but confidence to go down areas I would have otherwise avoided. I even skied to the Cervinia side the following day.

This tour was long, but really lovely! Salma had so much knowledge and was so informative. We really enjoyed the views of the Matterhorn and had a great experience overall. Zermatt was also a very cute town and we learned a lot by walking thru it. All the train tickets and the Matterhorn ticket were included and it was so nice to have someone take us and know exactly where we needed to go. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking to see the Matterhorn and Zermatt.

Wonderful experience and some of the best views were before you even get off the train. Our guide was fantastic and told us where to sit for the best photo ops. Watch the weather! If it is cloudy, you should probably cancel because you will not be able to see the Matterhorn unless it's clear or mostly clear. Not worth the money if you can't see the top!

We had the absolute pleasure of having him for four days with our children, aged 9 and 7, and we truly cannot say enough wonderful things about him.Jan is everything you could hope for in an instructor—knowledgeable, thoughtful, patient, and incredibly kind. We booked a two-day guided ski tour with PDS and had an excellent experience from start to finish. Both of our guides were fantastic. On day two, Ari planned an incredible day for us—conditions were perfect, and we were able to ski the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise area and make our way over into Cervinia for lunch at Love. Ari was extremely knowledgeable, sharing interesting facts about the mountains and surrounding areas, and was very patient with our group. On day one, we skied with Simon in more challenging weather, but he made the absolute best of it. We explored the Sunnegga and Gornergrat areas, and he was also very knowledgeable about the area. He kept things fun with plenty of laughs along the way.The mountain is a very different setup from what we are used to in the states so this was such a helpful experience. I would highly recommend PDS, and especially Ari and Simon, if you’re looking for an unforgettable guided ski experience!

My son's started to learn snowboarding and I haven't done it in many years so we had a private lesson. We had Marcell and he was the perfect instructor for us, very patient and encouraging he had me doing turns again!!We really enjoyed the lesson and it was our highlight boarding with the Matterhorn in view, cherished memories made so thank you

My daughter and I recently returned from skiing in Zermatt. While we were there we booked a day long lesson as well a guiding service to Cervinia. Both experiences were with Ari. I am unable be more effusive with my praise. Ari was able to instruct an older less skilled skier such as myself as well as my experienced skier daughter. He provided well thought out drills and practices to improve our carving skills. He is an older skier, like myself, and he understood my limitations while engaging my experienced 18 year old daughter. Additionally, he was kind enough to take and provide videos of our lessons for future reference. This was a real plus for me. I was glade to have him guide us to Italy. Being an old sailer, Ari noticed that the winds were picking up and got us back on the Swiss side before the lifts closed. PDS was easy to work with and I would recommend them to anyone.

Marcel our instructor was amazing, we were all beginers but had very different abilities which Marcel dealt with so well. We all had an amazing time, he was so knowledable, friendly and helpful. My son has always wanted to try snowboarding and Marcel was so good with him. We would love to come back again.
