Gouda Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

My daughter and I had a lovely experience on this tour. Our host lived very near the parts of town covered by the tour and had lots to say about everything. She also gave my daughter some snacks and a little toy, all of which was very appreciated!

What a fun tour! Suzanna is a super gracious, enjoyable and knowledgeable guide and you will feel like she's your friend within seconds. It was just my husband and myself with one other man on the tour and even though it rained, we had a great time. Suzanna shows you bits of history you wouldn't discover on your own and is just delightful.

Very nice city, beautiful weather, Gouda is a small town. We enjoyed the city trip.

This Gouda Cheese Tasting Tour for us, was an utterly delicious experience that goes far beyond just sampling cheese. It was a delightful and a pleasurable journey into the heart of Dutch culture and tradition.

George did a great job of walking us thru the highlights of both cites and the transportation in between- he was informative about Dutch life and nationalism and allowed flexibility for rests shopping and snacks in the markets if we wished- helped with train to get back to Amsterdam at the end

Margreet was very detailed in the history of Gouda, No no cheese factory though because it was closed. I wish the operator informed us ahead.

Robin is a wonderful guide! This young man is respectful, polite and very very knowledgeable. He knows the history of the whole area; grew up in the area! Almost felt like we were in a tour with an adult grandson!! Has a sly sense of humor and really fun. This tour is so worth it. You cover a lot of ground, so get your walking shoes ready! 5 stars for this one!!

Loved finding this app. I walked around Gouda and felt like I learned so much! I love that you can pause the tour and enjoy going into shops whenever you want. Very nice to do as a solo traveler.

This was our very first audio self guided walk and our first time using VoiceMap. Arriving in the train station in Gouda it took us a while to find the starting point. Initially I could only find the co-ordinates but eventually I found the actual place. Personally I think it would have been much easier to choose a recognisable place such as the Tourist Information office.Once we started the walk and being “ midlifers” it took a while to get accustomed to how it all worked but once we got into the swing of things we were fine.We loved the history, the various oddities that were pointed out and there was definitely something for everyone en route.Thank you Annette for being our first ever guide, we will return to this app

This was a great tour! Our guide was very engaging and he knew a lot. The cheese tasting afterwards was very well appreciated. We sat out in the sun and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Alberto was a very friendly and helpful guide who helped us have a very enjoyable day. Great cheese, and of course the Royal Delft museum was fantastic.

We did this tour in March 2025 together with a befriended couple. They had already been to the Netherlands and we hadn't. What a beautiful country it is and what a great choice to have booked this tour. Recommended for anyone that wants to see some more outside Amsterdam! Loved our guide Jocelyn too.

I did this tour solo and it was great. Robin was very knowledgeable and enthousiastic. We ended up spending a little less time in Rotterdam and some more in Gouda, ending with a cheese tasting and a beer. Great day! Recommended.
