Gettysburg 2026 Calendar of Events

Guide was very knowledgeable and did a terrific job of telling the tour group about the various important sites around downtown Gettysburg. It’s well worths a visitors time to partipate in a walking tour.

Alot of information in a short amount of time. The guide was knowledgeable, answered questions and interacted with the crowd. There's driver was also very good as well.

Beautiful Train. Very smooth and great scenery. Our car host Steve was fun. Relaxing little trip, super comfy seats! Allow time for parking!

My mom (71 with mobility issues), my son (17 and a huge history buff) and I did the tour. It was amazing we all really nejoyed it. We never left the car though there were plenty of places you could get out and walk around though if you chose not to could just pull over listen for a but and then continue. I regret not taking more pictures but it was amazing and I would reccomend it to anyone but especially people with mobility issues. I shared it with my sister-in-law they have a beby, 3 yr and 10 yr old and they also loved it becuase she could stay in the car with the younger children or just the baby and her hisband and the 10 yr old could get out and exploere certai areas.

The Auto Tour was amazing! It was so nice to be in the comfort of our own car and go at the pace that we wanted. Our tour ended up taking us 3 hours, but could've taken us a lot longer or been shorter. The stories that went along with it were some that we had never heard before. We also loved that there were Auto Tour signs, so we knew we were going the correct way. Would definitely book this again!

Richard is an awesome guide! Very knowledgeable and keeps the tour entertaining, catered to each group.

The tour was great and it definitely explains so much of the history of the battlefields. Although I think this tour should be free the price was not bad for the information provided. The guide was spot on with location too. If you made a wrong turn it will guide you back to the route. It did take us quite a few hours to do the whole tour with stopping and checking out the monuments and reading the placards and climb the three viewing towers so it would be wise if planning the tour you carve out extra time. All in all we very much enjoyed this auto tour. We did the auto tour because we had our dogs with us. If you plan on doing the museum at the battlefield just know that pets are not allowed only support dogs.

Mia was a great tour guide. She really knew what she was talking about and really was into the history of Gettysburg. My wife and I had a great time on the tour. We highly recommend it and with Mia. She made sure we knew about the history. She interacted with us and asked questions if we had any. We are from Illinois and will be back again.

Ticket prices were very reasonable. Roughly a 90 minute tour of Jennie Wade's home. Wonderful and informative and our guide was very knowledgeable Meet up location has plenty of parking and check in was flawless

Very educational. Bring snacks, binoculars and plan for rain in case it happens. You will really enjoy it.

There definitely was some activity. Our guide was very sweet but not extremely knowledgeable. I think she needs a little bit more education.

Lots of time and effort went into this Civil War experience. The cellar experience was truly a sobering moment.

We had a great time. We had traveled all day so we were tired. The ghost tour brought us back to life. We really liked Amber’s personal stories. She was a great guide.

Wow! We had such an incredibly fun and unique experience with our private Mountain Spies Tour AND Briefing Room Happy Hour. Chris picked us up at our nearby farm and then completely captivated us with his knowledge of the history of the area during the years leading up to WWII and beyond to the present day continuity of government compound. He and Suzy are just incredibly nice humans to be around which was an extra bonus. If you are at all a history buff, I highly recommend. Most may not be aware the area has played a significant role well beyond its Civil War contribution to American history. Chris was an incredibly knowledgable guide to take one thru the birth of the intelligence community for America in the region as well as the significant WWII era history around Fort Ritchie and how Camp David began during the FDR years and continues to be used today….. I could go on and on. We learned so much!The Happy Hour stop at The Briefing Room also was really special….and so unexpected! It was this cute little boutique bar/ speakeasy at Fort Ritchie with the most amazing cocktails and elevated bar food ( think deviled eggs done multiple ways with creative spins like Bloody Mary deviled eggs and delicious charcuterie board). Our group was from Washington DC and Charlotte NC and Camden Maine ( so no strangers to good cocktail bars!) and all felt the cocktails were truly top notch. Plus, like Chris and Suzy, the people at The Briefing Room were so welcoming and friendly and fun.All this to say, if you are considering doing this tour with happy hour, I strongly recommend….we will be back with others that come to visit!

So we knew a bit of the history since we did the ghost tour the night before, but this is strictly a historical tour. It’s a reasonable price and took a little over an hour. You’re standing pretty well the whole time, so if that’s not for you… Definitely a somber experience knowing how that poor girl met her demise. There were maybe 10-12 in our tour group which was roughly half the size of our aforementioned paranormal tour. Much more pleasant in that regard. The staff was excellent, even swapping our tickets to the later tours since I mistakenly had purchased pickets for the earlier time!

Chrissy was excellent!! Definitely would go back. I did the combo jenny Wade/orphanage tour.
