Colombo Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

This tour was the perfect introduction to Colombo on our first day in the city. Ramesh was an expert driver and efficient tour guide and managed to show us so many highlights in the brief time we had. He shared many interesting parts of his city with us with levity and humor. To top it off, we finished with dinner of the best chicken kottu roti I had on the entire trip. I definitely recommend this tour!

Great way to see Colombo! We arrived last night and did our tour today with Hemi and it was great!He shared so much info with us and the Tuk Tuk was so much fun.Highly recommend! Small warning to those who can't eat spicy food, the lunch is delicious and authentic but there is no spice-free option haha!

We spent a great morning with Olivier who showed us the most important places in Colombo and excellent coffee! He knows the history of Colombo very well and allows you to learn things

Cool Destinations: We took a city tour of over 4 hours with Olivier and it was a wonderful surprise. Traveling as a family with two children aged 8 and 9, we are used to guided tours around the world, but this one stands out. Olivier has lived in Colombo for over 10 years: his knowledge of the city is remarkable and he knows how to adapt his narrative and his route to the energy of the group and the children. Do not make the mistake of skipping Colombo. Treat yourself to this moment with the Tuk It Easy team before continuing your journey in Sri Lanka.

Excellent experience!! My guide Chadhu was respectful and full of information. Very very helpful!! 10/10 . Guide at sigirya, Tilak was also exceptional!! A definite book. However the village experience/ safari was not required after the long temple and sigriya climb. Too tired to do it!

The trip was absolutely fantastic! Baby elephants were the highlight of our trip! Now, climbing Sigiriya rock was a little difficult due to humidity and heat. I recommend doing this tour in December - January, when Sigiriya region is more cool. I also wish lunch was a little better, had buffet option. Overall, the trip was fantastic. Highly recommend!

Great tour with Ajeet. Got to see many interesting parts of Colombo, including the port, old hotel, mosque, dutch hospital. He had great English and was very knowledgeable. He ended up dropping me 1.5 hours to my hotel in Bentota for a reasonable price. Would recommend Ajeet and the tour!

This was an amazing overview of Sri Lankan history. Sheer takes the time to set the stage with who Sri Lankans are as a people and then the walk through Colombo Fort and other areas really shows the influence of colonial history and how it shaped Sri Lankan history. Definitely recommend this experience, especially early in your Colombo visit.

Deegoda was an excellent guide for what was supposed to be a food-focussed walk but ended up as something completely different. We had 3 mobility-challenged parents with us and Deegoda was very accommodating of their needs, the endless delays to the schedule and also helped us book tuk tuks and vans to move around. He completely changed the schedule to make it easier for our group while entertaining us with stories and anecdotes. He was also very clear with his communication beforehand and throughout. Highly recommended.

This was an interesting and informative tour session. I got to learn about Sri Lanka, her people, culture, colonial history and religion. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and helpful.
