Enjoy a private market tour and Italian cooking class with Laura is a true-blue Venetian. She was born and raised in Venice and lives in a beautiful apartment in the city center (only a 20-minute walk from the city center). The neighborhood is very local with not many tourists so you will get to experience a real Italian suburb. Laura loves to travel, watch movies, go to the market and of course, cook! She learned to cook traditional dishes from her mother and she likes to serve local dishes from Veneto. She only uses fresh and organic ingredients from the local farmers. Laura is also an expert in vegetarian food, as she was a vegetarian for 10 years (but not anymore!).

What To Expect
Cooking class and meal: Step into Laura’s cozy, well-equipped kitchen and discover the secrets of Veneto cuisine as you enjoy a light appetizer. During this 1.5 hour hands-on cooking class, you’ll learn to prepare a seasonal, creamy risotto (or pasta if you let her know in advance) and a decadent tiramisù. Laura guides you through each step, from crafting the perfect mascarpone cream to assembling your own individual dessert, while sharing stories about the origins and traditions behind the dishes. After cooking, enjoy the meal you helped prepare over wine, laugher and conversation.
Saturday Market tour: Meet Laura at the lively Santa Margherita market, where she’ll guide you through her favorite local vendors and help you discover the fresh, seasonal ingredients that define Venetian cuisine. During this 1-hour tour, you’ll explore select shops to pick up ingredients for your upcoming Italian cooking class. After the market visit, enjoy a scenic 20-minute walk to Laura’s home, where your hands-on cooking experience will begin.
This unique experience offers a glimpse into everyday Italian life in Venice - you can also pick up insider tips from a local expert on places to visit!
