Overview
Above and below the sea along the unspoiled coastline of Portofino Park: the best solution for a unique outdoors experience. The tour takes you to explore Portofino’s unique territory and hidden gems, sea and land: “la piazzetta” and the Lighthouse of Portofino, the eighteen-century Church of San Giorgio, leaving space for possible sightseeing of sea mammals, birds and wild animals.
If you choose the Kayak & Snorkeling Tour, during the summer season, you can do a snorkeling guided tour by a local qualified guide and instructor.
Before leaving, enjoy some time on the beach while tasting organic local wine and traditional food from Liguria.

What To Expect
In company of a kayak instructor and marine guide, paddle along the coast from Paraggi to the picturesque port of Portofino and beyond to the Olivetta and the Lighthouse. Get captured by the charm of these areas rich in history and curiosity. At the foot of the lighthouse where nature gets more "wild", a refreshing dip in front of the breathtaking landscape is an experience not to be missed.
We offer 3 different options, depending of the period of the year and with two different starting date.
The meeting is in Niasca Bay, via Duca degli Abruzzi 62 Portofino, twenty minutes before the start of the activity.

- In the nearby bay of Paraggi you may find basic services: tabacco shop, bar, restaurant, toilets (toilets not present in our office).
- *Respect the environment! Bring your water bottle and fill it up with potable water at our office.

The maximum weight capacity for kayaking is 340 lbs / 154 kg.
Nov 2021No experience is necessary! Beginners are welcome on all of our kayak tours. Most of our guests have never been in a sea kayak before. Anyone in average physical condition may join a kayak tour. If you can hike or bike, you can paddle our sea kayaks. You do not need any swimming skills either.
The only prerequisite is a healthy spirit of curiosity and adventure.
Regardless of age or skill level you will find that our expeditions offer enough flexibility to make your experience with us safe and rewarding. We will show you proper sea kayaking technique and water safety before leaving the beach. And your expert guides will be with you throughout the adventure to give you pointers and improve your skills.
Sep 2022Your safety is Cool Destinations’s number one concern. In general, sea kayaking is safer than most other outdoor pursuits, even bicycling.
Jan 2023If you have any doubts about becoming seasick on the water, we recommend taking a Dramamine® Motion Sickness Relief tablet the night before your trip. Some people recommend taking it the night before your cruise and then again that morning so you will not feel so drowsy.
Feb 2023- For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the tour start time.
- If you cancel less than 24 hours before the tour start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
- Any changes made less than 24 hours before the tour start time will not be accepted.
