Overview
Take your first breath underwater and discover the stunning reefs of the Riviera Maya. This introductory program will give you all the necessary skills to get used to scuba diving and enjoy seeing the underwater world with different eyes.

Meeting and Pickup
Pick-ups are offered in Playa del Carmen and the Riviera Maya area for extra fees: All hotels between Dorado Maroma and Dreams Tulum. Exceptions may apply. Tulum area: Pick-up is not available Cancun: Please get in touch with us. The exact pickup time will be provided the day before the activity.

- Diving within 24 hours of flying is not recommended. All participants will be required to complete a health questionnaire prior to diving. Some pre-existing medical conditions (eg asthma, heart conditions, etc) may prevent you from diving

No, you don’t need to have any previous Scuba experience, but you must be able to swim without a flotation device.
Mar 2022Participants in the PADI Discover Scuba Diving Program in the Riviera Maya cannot fly in an airplane within 24 hours of their dive.
The main concern with scuba diving and flying is decompression sickness (DCS). Your body needs adequate time during an ascent to off-gas excess nitrogen, or you can form bubbles in your bloodstream, possibly leading to DCS.
Jun 2024If you have any doubts about becoming seasick on the water, we recommend taking a Dramamine® Motion Sickness Relief tablet the night before your trip. Some people recommend taking it the night before your cruise and then again that morning so you will not feel so drowsy.
Feb 2023- For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the tour start time.
- If you cancel less than 24 hours before the tour start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
- Any changes made less than 24 hours before the tour start time will not be accepted.
