What To Expect
Dream Gate is the highly decorative cenote with many spectacular formations of stalactites, stalagmites, and columns. This cenote is particularly known for its stalactites and its dark sedimentary background highlighted.
This cenote offers a combination of two different dives:
- Dream Gate Upstream
- Dream Gate Downstream
The visibility is excellent to witness the beautiful formations. You will enjoy the amazing sensation of flying between very fine stalactites and stalagmites. For diving in cenote Dream Gate, you must possess an excellent buoyancy due to the delicacy of the rock formations. This cenote has many rich subtle and fragile geological structures.

- Not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries
- Not recommended for pregnant travelers
- Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health
- Minimum age is 15 years for cenotes diving
- Suitable for all physical fitness levels
- Evidence of dive certification is required from all divers wishing to participate in a certified dive (Advanced Open Water Diver PADI or equivalent)
- Diving within 24 hours of flying is not recommended. All participants will be required to complete a health questionnaire prior to diving. Some pre-existing medical conditions (eg asthma, heart conditions, etc) may prevent you from diving, please consult your doctor.
