The Ribera del Duero is one of Spain's world renowned wine regions. The wines produced here are among the finest in Spain. On this convenient day tour from Madrid you can enjoy both wine tasting and exploring the beautiful area. Stop at three wineries, ranging from medieval to modern in style. Learn all about grape growing and harvesting, and the way wine is produced in the area.
For a competitive price, you will have access to commented wine tastings with the wine makers themselves and snacks ("tapas") in each of the three wineries. Try 3 different wines at each stop! A minimum of 9 wines tasted by the end of the day!

The Duero river, also known as the river of wine, is about 2 hours from Madrid and it is the home of tempranillo, the most famous Spanish grape variety (red wines with full body and lots of fruit).

Third winery: a medieval underground cellar, with a total length of about 4 mi and excavated about 40 ft deep (networks of incredible tunnels that run through the subsoil of the city and are intended for the preservation of wines that have been made since the Middle Age).
