Sete Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

It was a fun way to see the beautiful views for the whole family! It is a great experience for all ages.

What a wonderful experience! Our tour guide was extremely friendly, funny, and knowledgeable. After making sure we knew how to paddle and steer our tandem kayaks, we followed him along the coastline of Sete to secret caves, local beaches and hidden coves. It was a beautiful morning with no wind, so we were able to go inside the caves and swim at one of the beaches in the beautiful tourquoise water. There was no pickup from the ship, but it was only a 30 minute walk from where we were docked to KayakMed. Don't hesitate to book this trip!

Amazing experience with Marc. Can't wait to go back and do it again!

Great fun, our morning of sea kayaking took us out the harbour and along the beautiful Sête coastline. Our guide Sylvan was excellent, really friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

Loiz and his wife were wonderful. Very fun experience and would definitely recommend. Hope they expand their business to other areas.

Despite the slightly high price, it is a very pleasant outing that we recommend. We had a very nice afternoon

Bertrand is an amazing guide. He’s local and has so many great tips about the region. He has curated an amazing 5 hour exploration of Sète, an oyster farm and a beautiful Abby/vineyard.We were a group of 6 and all had an excellent experience and end of the day brought great bottles of wine back too!

Great first sea kayaking experience that everyone enjoyed, from the teenagers to the 8-year-old who wasn't afraid of the waves even though the sea was a bit rough. Super nice guide. Would do it again without hesitation.

With a group of 70 people we have wonderful kayaking in Sète. We started with fun and clear instructions, which made everyone go out on the water with confidence. Thanks to the beautiful weather we could fully enjoy the coast and the city. There was a choice of a short trip of 1.5 hours along the coast and through the city, or a longer trip of 2.5 hours along the coast and bays. The contact was very pleasant and for our large group a nice group discount was possible. Definitely recommended!

what a pleasure. We had the most amazing time with Bertrand on our tour of the oyster farm, sete, and the abbey winery yesterday. he took ourselves and another couple on a lovely day.We met Bertrand at our hotel promptly in the morning. It was an easy meet up and we quickly went off to our tour. Bertrand was knowledgeable and knew the right time to engage us in conversation, showing us the sites as he drove. He's a wonderful driver. He was friendly and gave us a ton of freedom through the day to take our time. I would love to do another tour with him. It was just a wonderful day

We did the Sete canal trip as a family. Two adults plus a 12,10 and 8 year old. Our 12 year old was in a single kayak and the two adults went in double kayaks with one child each. The distance is about 5 - 6km and there are some sections against the current (warning if you never kayaked before). The trip goes first via the port area, then the canal with low bridges, which leads to the lagoon Thau, then you do a tour of a small old Marina and then back towards the start point via another canal. It’s an interesting way to see the city. Our tour guide Nicholas was very good. Bring water with you and be prepared to paddle

One of our favourite days of our entire trip!Marc Cazalis was knowledgeable, funny and clearly passionate about his family’s winery, Chateau Cazalis de Fondouce, and the beautiful region he calls home. Great wines, stunning scenery and fresh almonds picked straight from the tree. Then came Le Mas Soula—home to the best oysters, mussels and oyster ceviche we’ve ever had. Along with an awesome location right on the lagoon and the aroma of a wood-fired grill for the mussels. We could’ve stayed there all afternoon! And let’s not forget Pistachio, the vineyard’s four-legged security officer, who may have stolen part of the show.A fabulous day and an authentic taste of southern France. We recommended Marc and this tour - we would do it again and again!

Wonderful tour! Highly recommend! Great way to enjoy both oysters and wine in one afternoon! We had a fantastic time doing this.

This was a fantastic experience people need to know how lovely and knowledgeable Chloe was ! Chloe made our tour the best yet, such a beautiful personality and taught us so much!

Our driver was extremely knowledgeable about local wines and process. His english speaking skills were excellent and overall knowledgeable of the local culture carried great depth. I would highly recommend.

We enjoyed the tasting of oysters and mussels as well as our visits to the Saint André estate as well as to Frontignan Muscat and the tasting of different local wines. Thank you very much for rating guide Brenda. We recommend this tour. We had a great afternoon 😊
