She shared a wealth of fascinating facts in an engaging way and answered all our questions.Our driver, Ovo, also deserves huge praise. Took a cultural and food tasting tour of Yerevan. Meeting with guide at republic square was as planned, and easy. Our guide was waiting outside despite the sun. Prior to this trip, I had a very little knowledge of Armenia and its history. Guide was well informed and she went at great length to explain the unique history of this beautiful country and its complex relationship with some of its neighbors. From ancient history to Persian, ottoman and communist era, Armenians have finally found their independent identity now. Guide narrated the story well, and walked us through some old buildings and new monuments of city. The stop at a local restaurant for Armenian food tasting was wonderful experience. It was generally middle eastern style food, healthy, delicious and nutritious. Understanding the whole story, I realized that history has been somewhat unfair to Armenian people, due to perpetual colonization. Trip is highly recommended to understand Armenian story and its rich culture.

The experience was awesome, with the driver Harut really on point and Gayane as, I think, the best guide I have ever met. Surely renting a car is cheaper but this tour is worth all the money (that are not so much for this service) and more! Hoping that they will get all the recognition they deserve

Our driver Arakel was outstanding and really made the day. Very charming, ex football referee, he spoke very good english. He is the very best driver we have had. Safe on these sometimes challenging roads but at the same time able to drive at a good speed which helps on such a long driving day. We would recommend both him and the company Hyur to anyone. We were lucky enough to be assigned the same driver - Arthur Harutyunyan - when we engaged Hyur Service again. This time for a 2-day private transport to Areni, Yeghegnadzor, Khor Virap, Tatev, several wine tastings, and back to Yerevan. Arthur is very conscientious, courteous and always made sure to check-in with us regularly to ensure we were comfortable and that our needs were met. Hyur also went the extra mile and made reservations for us at some of our chosen restaurants and wineries. We couldn’t be happier with the service we got.

Fantastic private tour
We had a fantastic day in July 2026 with our tour guide Samvel and driver Arakel. We took a private tour to see Khor Virap, Azat Reservoir, Garni, Geghard, Arch of Charents and only booked this a few days before following a recommendation from a family member about Hyur. The locations were amazing and provided a perfect mix to experience Armenia's scenery and history. But Samvel really made the day by talking us through the histories, culture and his own personal experiences in a clear and engaging way. For my dad and I who were exploring our Armenian roots, it was ideal. We were grateful for him and Arakel's patience in taking the tour at the pace we wanted, including stopping off if we wanted to take a photo or saw something interesting. The lunch was a particularly nice stop-off at a family-run restaurant in a quiet garden setting, and the day was made even better by coinciding with Vardavar so we were entertained by kids throwing water over the car! We'd fully recommend Hyur and Samvel and Arakel particularly for the private tour.

Absolutely wonderful trip with spectacular views of three Monasteries. Our driver Araqel welcomed us in from of the hotel, the entire trip was well scheduled with steady driving, Araqel took good care of us who helped with cable car ticket booking and lunch reservation - highly efficient and effective. Araqel also took us to enjoy the best view of Tatev which is truly breathtaking, many thanks and strongly recommend!!
