A definite must-do when you’re in Cape Town!I truly believe that one of the best ways to get to know a country is through its food — and this experience was such a wonderful way to discover more of South Africa.The food and drinks were absolutely delicious, but what I loved most was the whole experience: spending time with a wonderful guide, hearing the stories behind the food, and meeting fellow travellers from different parts of the world who were just as curious to learn more about South Africa.There’s something so special about sharing food around a table and discovering how food, history and culture are all connected.I thoroughly enjoyed every moment and came away with an even greater appreciation for the incredible diversity and richness of South African food and history.Definitely add this to your Cape Town must-do list!

It is a lot of fun…Parinita our guide took us to some local places to sample a variety of foods at two different stops. In between eating she would show us the neighborhood and places of historic nature and explained the context behind them. All in all we enjoyed the few hours we spent with her…the food was good and she is a delight

Our guide Shaheed was born and raised in Woodstock over 50 years ago, when racial segregation still existed. He experienced all the changes in the neighborhood first hand and shared the stories and contexts with a lot of dedication and great kindness. He is deeply rooted in Woodstock and personally knows the local and international artists who have designed many walls with their murals and graffiti. During the tour, he not only showed us street art, but also explained the respective thematic context and the relation to the buildings and the people in them. Highly recommended! P.S. In Cape Town meet very rich and very poor. We felt safe with him at all times in the lively creative scene and out in the streets.

It's a good digital guide, has audio, all stops are clear and the route covers a lot of locations - we didn't visit them all, but it gave us a perfect way to plan

I've been in South Africa so many times, and always with Hotspots2c. I've been there on this tour to Paarl, Stellenbosch and Franschhoek for 3 times and now was my 4th time and of course it was perfect again. Our guide Uriel I already knew and it was amazing to meet him again with all his patience, friendship, knowledge and i can say that we had lots of funny moments with all group. He's more than perfect!!!!! We've been in 3 amazing wineries and all were perfects and with amazing wines. The first one (Farmview) was my preferred. I can't wait to visit Cape Town again and I'm sure I'll want to be back with Hotspots2c. ❤️🇿🇦📍🤩

This was honestly one of the highlights of our entire trip to Cape Town. Our guide, Elsje, was wonderful from start to finish. She was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and gave us so much insight into the history and culture behind the food and the different places we visited. You could also tell that she has great relationships with people throughout the city, which made the experience feel very authentic and personal.This was my first food tour, so I honestly didn’t know what to expect, but it exceeded my expectations by far. The food was amazing, and there was so much variety. The portions were much more generous than I expected, and this was not just a tour of random restaurants. Every stop felt thoughtfully selected and well curated, with its own story and connection to Cape Town. We had full meals, dessert, drinks, and even a wine tasting, all in a small group of about five people, which made the experience even better.I also loved the little touches, like the tea and spice she gave us to take home. It was such a thoughtful way to remember the experience.What I appreciated most was that this tour went beyond just food. We learned so much about Cape Town, its history, its people, and its culture. By the end of the tour, I actually found myself wanting to learn more about the city and its people, which I think says a lot about how special the experience was.I would highly recommend this food tour without hesitation. Taking this tour on our first day was the absolute perfect introduction to Cape Town. The food was not only amazing and abundant, but all four stops along the way were unique and memorable. Our guide, Olivia, was exceptional—helpful, kind, and deeply knowledgeable—making the entire experience feel effortless and fun. The little extras, like the Cape Malay spice gift, digital recipes, group photos, and a detailed follow-up email recap, made it feel so personal. I would definitely recommend this to any first-time visitor!

The street art tour was a really good experience to see another side of Cape Town. The suburb Woodstock is very special and you really recognize the power of art here. But I would recommend always to take a local tour guide to see and take pictures of all the beautiful mural because you get context for them and it is not a good idea to make a walk through on you own because of the circumstances there. I hat a really kind female guide which was a pleasure to talk and discuss about art. Forgot the name, but if you this review: Thank you very much for the artful quality time.

Wonderful art! Not a place we would’ve found without the tour guide. But, the neighborhood is a bit rough.

Parinita was knowledgeable and friendly and made our tour thoroughly enjoyable. The content and duration of the tour were perfect to give a really good flavour of central Cape Town. Excellent guide and tour !!
