Another Awesome Day in Wellington
We had an absolutely fantastic tour with Suzee W. with uTours. The weather cooperated and she was able to get us the most amazing views. We thouroughly enjoyed her conversation and learned quite a bit about local life. My wife and I truly loved the way Suzee reached out early and established a rapport as we were heading toward New Zealand. The tour itself was exactly what we wanted from views atop the mountains , to seaside spots, and the quaint suburbs scattered about Wellington. We had a very enjoyable lunch stop and later a memorable early dinner at the Wellington Seafood Market. Suzee had recommended a visit to the Te Papa Museum which we did and it was such a nice addition to the day. If you want a guide who will treat you like family and freely converse about any topic, book with uTours and asked for Suzee!!

Awesome day trip to Kapiti Island
My husband and I booked the Kapiti Island Rangatira Experience Day Trip. The communication from Kapiti Island Nature Tours in the lead-up to the day was fantastic. On the day, the lady (maybe Paula?) who checked us in was friendly and helpful, and then Tamihana, our guide, was awesome at getting us through the preparation for the trip. The ferry left on time, and the second guy (sorry didn't catch his name) on the ferry was also super friendly and informative. Once on the island, we enjoyed the info about what birds we could expect to see and info about the various walks that are available (as well as a safety briefing). The walk itself was awesome. We took the Wilkinson's track to the summit and then did the lower loop walk after that. It was a pretty overcast day, so the views weren't as good as I would imagine they are on a clear day; however, still absolutely stunning. The time on the island was perfect (not too short so you were rushing, but not too long that you were waiting for ages at the end). Once again, the ferry came at the planned time, and we got back as expected. Everything was well organised and managed from start to finish, and the welcoming and passionate staff made the experience even more enjoyable. We will definitely be back again and will challenge ourselves with the Trig Track next time. 😀

Fun day on the Kapiti Coast
This tour had a blend of activities that included an interesting lesson at a coffee roaster along with some great coffee, as well as a stop at a chocolate shop/factory. We enjoyed a wonderful lunch at a delicious Italian restaurant with great wine! The original description of the tour included a couple other stops, but since it was Sunday, those places were closed, which was unfortunate as we were looking forward to the gin distillery. Our guide, Tom, was very engaging and had much history and knowledge of the area and he was able to answer our questions. When we asked about Dukkah, he took us to a market that carried it so we could purchase and take back home. We were very appreciative that Tom went out of his way to do this kind gesture for us!Tom also took numerous photos of us at various stops along the way and posted a link to them so that we would have some good memories from the day. Overall, a great day, but definitely missed the gin tasting as well as a few brews from the area.

An Unforgettable Wellington Food Tour
I cannot say enough wonderful things about this tour company and our guide. They were simply phenomenal. From the very beginning, their communication was outstanding. They reconfirmed the tour before our scheduled date, which I appreciated immensely. It seems like such a simple courtesy, yet so many tour companies overlook it. Knowing everything was confirmed ahead of time gave us confidence that we were in good hands. Our guide, Jon, was exceptional. From the moment we met him, he was warm, welcoming, knowledgeable, and incredibly well prepared. He greeted us with a printed list of his favorite local restaurants for us to keep, then walked us through the day's itinerary, explaining where we were headed, what we would see, and sharing interesting background about Wellington before we even began.Throughout the tour, Jon constantly pointed out landmarks, hidden gems, and fascinating local history that we would have otherwise missed. I especially appreciated how attentive he was to our safety, even warning us about uneven pavement and cracks in the sidewalk as we walked. It was such a thoughtful touch and showed how much he genuinely cared about his guests. The food itself was absolutely outstanding. Every stop was carefully chosen, and we loved everything we sampled. We enjoyed delicious hot drinks with scones, local desserts, incredible sandwiches, authentic fish and chips, pavlova, regional beverages, and so much more. By the end of the tour, we were absolutely stuffed! Jon even took us through a local supermarket, explaining New Zealand's food culture and introducing us to products we never would have discovered on our own. It added another unique and memorable dimension to the experience. This was far more than just a food tour...it was an introduction to Wellington through someone who clearly loves sharing his city with visitors. Jon's passion, kindness, and knowledge made this one of the absolute highlights of our time in Wellington.I would give this tour 10 stars if I could. If you're considering booking it, don't hesitate...you won't be disappointed. Come hungry, because you'll leave completely satisfied, with wonderful memories and a genuine appreciation for Wellington. Thank you, Jon, for making our visit so special!

An amazing day
We ended up in Wellington unexpectedly when our cruise ship was rerouted due to weather. We were alerted one day prior while on the ship. We were so glad we were able to grab this tour! We had an amazing day. Our guide Suzee was fun, knowledgeable and knew the area well so we could make the most of our day. We were a group of 4 and we all felt it was great and would highly recommend!

Aaron is well versed in many subjects and knows his city very well. He was very accommodating with fitting our schedule into the tour to get us to the airport in plenty of time. His dinner restaurant suggestion was excellent. We would call Aaron again if our travels take us back to Wellington.

Awesome experience, Exceptional Guides.
I planned a trip for my partners birthday in October. Weather ended up being terrible, so asked if we could rebook. Fillnally rebooked for May. All the stuff are incredibly friendly and hospitable. Gave great information about the history of the island, and the descendants who look after it today. Had a great time, such a beautiful Island! Would highly recommend going over if you haven't already.

Best Wellington Area Experience
Great way to maximize your time in the Wellington area! Suzee called me in advance to craft a day that best suited our interests and stayed in communication right up to the moment we met up. Jo picked us up just steps from where we got off our NCL ship. My husband and I wanted to spend time at the Southward Car Museum, which was awesome. So Jo dropped us off and took Mom and Sis to visit an arts and crafts gallery and a bit of shopping. Then we all had a lovely lunch at a local bakery before heading off to see the coastal sites as well as the Wellington area. We loved having a resident local show us the area and tell us about life there. Couldn't imagine a better way to spend a day in the Wellington area. We had exactly the experience we wanted at the pace we wanted and with an awesome guide. Suzee and Jo are genuinely good, caring, dependable, and fun people!!

Exceptional Brewery Tour with Kelvie
Booked a half-day tour and it was an absolute standout experience. Kelvie, our guide, was a total legend—he did a fantastic job pointing out all the local landmarks, which was incredibly helpful for us as first-time visitors to the area. We visited four breweries, and honestly, the quality was top-tier; it felt like each beer was even better than the last. If you're looking for great drinks and a knowledgeable guide who knows the local spots, I can't recommend this tour enough. Cheers to Kelvie for making it such a memorable afternoon!

We made reservations at the last minute, and we are so thankful for that decision. This was the best day on our trip. Aaron was a knowledgeable and delightful host. He took us to delightful vineyards, gave us a lesson on local wines and the food was some of the best I have had. Aaron was also a professional chef.
