Brandon made it all work for this 78+81 yr old couple! Positive, respectful, and polite, full of info about trees, seas, seaweed, and birds but alas! no orcas. Lunch was delicious and the break was appreciated! Quite a challenging workout + two and a half hours on the water. Beautiful weather and a wonderful orientation to San Juan island's land + sea. This was one of those core memories type experiences. I went with my 8 year old and we had a spectacular time. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and a lot of fun. The location and process were effortless. It's hard to put into words how amazing this trip was, but it is easy to say that Outdoor Odysseys was definitely a big part of making it that way.

Eli was my guide for both tours and he was awesome, very professional and knowledgable. The sea kayaks were comfortable and felt very safe. Gorgeous scenery and lots of wildlife!! We just took a 90 minute guided kayak trip from Bowman Bay (Deception Pass area). We observed numerous harbor seals and pups, all sorts of shorebirds, bull kelp fields and breathtaking rock and sea cave formations from the water. The trip was incredible! And the guide, Ryan C, was the best! Very knowledgeable about the area and wildlife, and a genuinely great person. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone!

We are 4 women aged mid50s to early 80s who did a 3-day Stuart Island Kayak and camping trip. The weather was perfect and we were so lucky and excited to see Orcas the first day. Our guide Justin was very knowledgeable, fun, experienced and a great chef. Our meals were delicious and varied with plenty of fresh fruit and veggies, catered to our gluten- and lactose-free needs. We felt very safe with Justin. He gave us very good paddling instructions and prepared us for paddling in changing and strong currents. We loved how he adapted the schedule and changed plans to match our capabilities. We highly recommend Outdoor Odysseys and our excellent guide Justin. Marianne, Polly, Ginna and Kary.

We had a wonderful tour with Calvin from Wild Orca!! It was a wonderful day to be on the water. A bit breezy but Calvin had all the confidence in his age 60+ group of paddlers and we did not disappoint! HIGHLY recommend booking with Wild Orca. Great, comfortable kayaks and other equipment. The Kayak tour out to Point Doughty was wonderful. The tour guide, Owen, was smart, charming and FUNNY! He was highly informed about marine life and conscientious about comfort and safety. We saw lots of wildlife, seals, eagles, kingfishers and tide pool critters on the point. Beautiful day!!

First and foremost, our guide was incredible. Brandon was intelligent, kind, an excellent and creative chef, timely, and professional. The weather was perfect and the path he chose provided three even days of paddling enjoyment surrounded by scenery. Our group was three was combined with 4 other customers and the number was nice because it was small enough to feel personal and hear the guide but large enough to meet other outdoor enthusiasts and increase the joy and conversations. I had never heard of the San Juan Islands until my friends came here a few years back and raved about their 3-day tour with Discovery Sea Kayaks and Carly. I am so glad this all worked out and 3 days/2 nights was just the right amount of time to see and experience sea kayaking thru the islands. Our big bonus was a bioluminescence tour on night 2 which was so cool in itself (looks like glitter water!) being surrounded by glowing organisms, stars and the milky way, but we also heard a pod or two pods of orcas sleeping in the distance. We were all so amazed that we just sat in the middle of the bay for probably 30 minutes listening to the orcas come up for breaths. Wow! But all around amazing tour, the company and route was organized, high quality camping gear and boats, and Brendan was phenomenal. Thank you, Brandon!!
