Didn't want to leave
Probably my favorite part of a 10-day Iceland visit. Apart from Puffins and hiking up a volcano, I got to feel connected to the island's tragic but uplifting history. I even stayed behind to explore town more on my own when my group went back on the ferry. Highly recommended!

Fantastic trip to the land of ice and fire!
It was an amazing and memorable trip to Iceland. The day trip to the diamond beach and glacier with the boat ride is definitely a must do! Our guide was Lina , she was our guide for the entire trip including airport transfers. She is very prompt in communication so it was very easy to connect with her on WhatsApp before we even landed in Reykjavik. She was very knowledgeable and narrated the significance and importance of each and every single site we visited. She was also very flexible and took us to some additional attractions as she drove us to the attractions

Gorgeous Locations- Great Tour!
Everything was wonderful! The van Sultan picked us up in was very nice, and he was a safe but effective driver, getting us to each location in great time. The locations themselves were absolutely beautiful and he even added another stop or two since we had some extra time. Highly recommend!

Fantastic tour.
Tour was great. Both Bjorn and John were very informative and happy to share their knowledge and experience on the amazing raw power of nature we experienced today, particularly the ice cave. Both our guides had a good sense of humour which made the tour even more enjoyable.

Like walking on another planet
We did two tours with Trolls on consecutive days. Both tours were outstanding experiences and we are so happy we decided to go with Trolls. The mini buses were very modern and clean. They included free WiFi and had USB-A charging ports above each seat—necessary because you will want to take a lot of photos. Our tours had less than 15 people each day which made the stops very manageable. We saw other tours with full size buses loaded with people that looked very unappealing. The smaller group size allowed a more intimate experience and allowed you to clearly hear the guide. All of our tour guides were very knowledgeable and friendly. The schedule is tight and many stops were approximately 30 minutes. Although you may not be able to fully explore each spot (for example: climb the 500 steps up Skógafoss Waterfall), there were still many photographic opportunities.Communication with Trolls was extremely easy and quick through email. I wrote several times with questions and once to change my pick up location. They always responding within several hours, despite me writing them late in the evening. They may communicate with you about your trip via email while you are traveling so it is very important to check often. On two occasions, I didn’t see emails from them until much later. It was only a slight adjustment to the pick up time, but should have checked my email sooner. The first tour was the Katla Ice Cave South Coast - Day Tour from Reykjavik. We stopped twice to see waterfalls. Each waterfall had its own unique beauty and worth the stop. The next stop was the Black Sand Beach—Reynisfjara—a very popular film shooting location. The basalt columns were awe inspiring, and I was pleased to see the puffins nesting above them. The end of the trip was the Katla Ice Cave. We went on a gorgeous day and extra layers were not needed. Definitely wear good hiking shoes because even with the supplied crampons, climbing up and down the crevices of the glacier require careful footing. The effort is worth the other worldly feeling. The two days I spent with Trolls were full of sights and moments to remember. Trolls were very easy to work with and I highly recommend them for your Iceland excursion.

2 Day Summer Tour to Iceland’s South Coast with Glacier Hike

Great trip, wonderful guide!
We had a great time on the tour. Our guide Jagoda shared lots of info on Iceland, including thoughts about food and snacks. She also made adjustments to planned stops, so that we could see certain sites at the best times and made some bonus stops along the way to take in the scenery. I liked that she seemed to enjoyed seeing all the sites herself, even though it was probably the hundredth time she has been there. The transportation was roomy enough, with 10 people in a vehicle with around 16 seats in the back, although the empty seats were mostly stacked with bags. The Glacier hike and boat tour on the Glacier Lagoon were definitely the highlights. On the Glacier hike, I really like how she made sure everyone was properly equipped and also using the equipment properly.Regarding pickup, given the big window of 30-40 min, I'd recommend letting people know in advance how many stops there will be that morning and where they are in the order. Even better, it would be great if text updates could be given (e.g., pickup one done, on my way to number 2). We were the last ones to be picked up, so we were wondering at the end whether we were forgotten.

2 Day tour to the South with Rodrigo
I had a really fun time with this tour. Our guide, Rodrigo was great from the get go! My pick up location had a lot of people waiting so I was worried I would miss my bus, but he was able to find me in the crowd. Throughout the ride be was VERY informative and fun to be around. He also gave us a lot of recommendations on what foods to try. Overall had a great experience. Highly recommend this tour!

Unforgettable Experience
Unforgettable Experience with Sultan and Island Paradise Tours! We had an absolutely incredible experience with Island Paradise Tours! Our group of 12 booked a tour to Diamond Beach and the Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, and it was easily the highlight of our trip. Our tour guide, Sultan, was exceptional. Even though we started a bit late in the morning, he was incredibly accommodating, flexible, and completely stress-free about it. Throughout the entire journey, he was warm, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure everyone in our large group was comfortable. The best part? Sultan surprised us by making several unplanned stops at stunning hidden gems along the way that we never would have found on our own. The cost of the tour was also very reasonable, especially given the top-tier service and personal attention we received. Our entire group truly enjoyed every moment and had a fantastic time. You are truly in good hands with Sultan and Island Paradise Tours. Highly recommended!!

Experience of a lifetime
Siggi was an excellent tour guide who regaled us with stories about life in Iceland. We left our hotel in Reykjavik promptly and went directly to the KATLA ICE CAVES beating the tourist rush. The caves and glacier experience was singularly great and unforgettable. We then drove on the BLACK SAND BEACH to lunch at Smidjan in Vik. On the way back, we stopped at waterfalls and scenic spots. Highly recommend this company. Ask for Siggi!!!

Fred is amazing!! He is incredibly knowledgeable and totally enhanced our experience in this beautiful country. We spent 3 days exploring the Golden Circle, The South Coast and Thorsmork. We covered exploring the black sand beach, hiking a glacier, hiking into caves, numerous waterfalls, seeing the northern lights and so much more. If you want to immerse yourself in history, nature and beauty then Fred is the man for this.

Takk Fyrir Walter – You Made Iceland Unforgettable and You’ll Always Have a Place in Our Hearts
I found Walter on Cool Destinations while planning our Iceland stop on a cruise from Southampton. We were traveling from Bermuda aboard the Norwegian Prima, and from the very first message, Walter felt like someone we could count on. He stayed in touch for months to sort out the plans, always quick to respond, always accommodating. By the time we met in person it felt like greeting an old friend. We spent two days touring with him. One exploring the South Coast from Reykjavík and the other touring the Reykjanes Peninsula before heading to KEF. Everything went smoothly. Walter took care of every detail. He showed up with water and snacks, made sure we were all comfortable and well fed and somehow made the day feel both exciting and easy. He taught us Icelandic along the way, had us practicing words like fjall, foss, jökull, and of course Hekla. He told us the stories behind the land, the volcanoes, the waterfalls…he brought Iceland to life for us in such a beautiful way.Walter has this calm and generous energy that makes you feel instantly at ease. We laughed, we learned and we felt completely cared for from start to finish.By the end of our trip, Walter didn’t feel like a tour guide. He felt like family. If he ever comes to Bermuda, we would welcome him with open arms. What he gave us was more than just a tour. It was a memory we’ll hold onto for a very long time.Takk fyrir, Walter. Hjartans þakkir. You will always have a place in our hearts.

Private South Coast Tour from Reykjavik
Camper26043744801, Jul 2025
My sister and I booked both airport pickup and a south coast tour with Walter, and our experience was nothing short of fantastic. Walter was ready to pick us up right when we landed, and he was friendly and helpful throughout the day. He handled our flight delay and a hotel mixup with grace, and he was more than willing to accommodate our questions and interests on the south coast tour. The south coast tour was impressive. We saw amazing waterfalls, the black sand beach, puffins, and more. Walter was very knowledgeable about every area we visited, and he knew a great spot for us to eat along the way. He is a safe driver, a fun tour guide, and a kind person. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with him in the future should we ever return to Iceland!
