We had such a wonderful time! The proprietor has an amazing knowledge of gelato making and Italian culture. We were able to participate hands-on with making a peach gelato as well as a traditional vanilla gelato. Wonderful afternoon and authentic Italian experience — highly recommend!

Thank you for the tour of Lucca. In the early days it is highly recommended to understand the city and get to know it. I was hoping for 2.5 hours, but there were 3 (paid by the hour). In general, time passed quite easily, there were many interesting facts that were remembered. Despite the heat at 4:00 p.m., we moved through the shade and were comfortable. I recommend a visit.

I originally was signed up for the pizza class yet it got canceled because I was the only registrar so they slide at me into this pasta making class. It’s the same school/location and same chef. We had a fantastic time at this three-hour pasta and tiramisu cooking class! Our chef was excellent with our group of nine, making the experience fun, engaging, and easy to follow. He had a 90’s play list that gave good vibes.We made cucumber pesto, tomato sauce, fresh fettuccine, cheese ravioli, and a classic tiramisu. The relaxed atmosphere, friendly group, and enjoying red and white wine while cooking made the class feel like a wonderful evening with friends.Afterward, we sat down together to enjoy the delicious meal we created, which was a highlight of the experience. Located just south of Ponte alla Grazie, this class is a great way to learn authentic Italian cooking and enjoy a memorable time in Florence. Highly recommended for couples, families, or groups of friends!

Very informative and enjoyable experience! Chef Bondi's passion was clear from the beginning, explaining everything clearly, giving us a quick history and science lesson, and answered all our questions without fail. The gelato itself was some of the best we've ever had--even more enjoyable knowing we helped make it ourselves. We would love to do something like this again. Highly recommend for everyone to try!

Great way to see the sights with young children. The guide kept our 5 and 8 year old entertained for 3 hours around the sights of Florence and the Accademia. We did 3 similar tours in our time in Italy and the kids said this guide was their favourite...the gelato stop definitely helped!

Martina was great and kept our two boys engaged the whole time. She was very knowledgeable and we learned not only about the big things (well known history) and landmarks but the less known (finer details) as well, and we discovered things we never would have even noticed if wandering alone. She also knows where the best gelato is. :)

We LOVE Livtours! This is our third experience with them and it's always been absolutely fantastic. Aldo who guided us through the gelato making process was an absolute delight - I can't speak highly enough about him or this experience. It was an hour long, just the right amount of time, and we were really able to get to grips to what goes in to making the worlds best gelato. Thank you Aldo and Livtours.

We hardly planned to stay in Lucca and knew nothing about the city, but we heeded Elena's recommendation - and didn't regret it one bit! Turns out there's so much to like: unusual stories, legends and amazing historical facts. Elena is an excellently trained guide, she knows an incredible amount and can tell stories in a way that makes you listen with pleasure. Definitely recommended!
