If you love history, you will love this fort, to be able to walk around the entire structure and inside the grounds was amazing.

The van ride to Tybee Island was comfortable and our guide gave us information about Savannah and the area the entire trip. Fort Pulaski and the Lighthouse are well worth seeing and ending up at the Pier made for an end to a perfect day.

Over all this was very good the guy Chris was very knowledgeable and accommodating bottom line for the cost this 5 hour trip could not have been done any other way to go to the fort lighthouse and tybee beach would have been a great hassle to get there park and receive the information it was a really cold day the bus mostly took you there left and came back the pier at the island was closed so could not get near the water however wind and cold made that not comfortable I would do this again if I came back but remember my reasoning you would have experienced greater expense to do it on your own on busy season especially true

Chris was absolutely wonderful. Communication was top notch. He kept us up to date on when we'd be picked up, gave excellent information and was such a nice guy. We went in February so knew we weren't going to be swimming in the ocean or anything. We got exactly what we expected out of a day tour and his genuine personality was a bonus. We learned a lot and had good conversation. Highly recommend and would go again!

Our guide (Chris) was right on time and very knowledgeable about the places we were going to and the area in general. Fort Pulaski was great! I wish we could have spent another hour or so there. The lighthouse was also very good. We climbed to the top and looked at the ocean views. Our guide then suggested the lighthouse museum. He said for us to take our time and enjoy it. We did! It was very interesting and wasn't part of the tour. We were the only guests signed up so Chris was giving us a little leeway. Tybee Island was interesting, too. Lots of shops, restaurants, and bars. The pier was nice and the beach pretty empty but for a woman with a metal detector. I would recommend this tour.

Chris is a very good tour guide who knows Savannah & Tybee Island well! We ended up being the only people on the tour which could be awkward but Chris made it very a very comfortable and friendly experience in his Suburban!! If you don’t want to drive yourself to the Island and historic places, going with Chris is the way to go!

Great personal door to door service. We were picked up directly from our hotel which was so nice and convenient. Chris took us to the Lighthouse, Fort Pulaski and then to Tybee Island where we had lunch and walked around and shopped a bit. Would highly recommend this tour group.

This is a great way to see Fort Pulaski and Tybee Island. We were able to tour the fort, enjoy time on the beach, climb the lighthouse, and grab some lunch.

This was an amazing experience. We were picked up at our place, stopped for drinks, Chris iced them down in his cooler, and drove us to our first stop, Fort Pulaski. He then picked us up 1.5 hours later and dropped us off at Tybee Beach. He carried our cooler, found us chairs, brought towels and told us to have a wonderful day. He then picked us up 3 hours later and took us back to our place. It was a great day and highly recommend Chris for a trip to Tybee Island.

We'd give, Chris, our tour guide 12 stars if we could. Our tour was on August 22,2025. Communication was great! His first message to us came as we were checking into our hotel on the 21st. Chris has so much knowledge of this area, the Fort and Tybee Island. Thank you for a wonderful day!

This is an awesome tour as Chris was great about confirming the time and pick up at the hotel. He was a plethora of knowledge about the area, and we had a great day exploring and learning about the Fort Pulaski. Since no one wanted to climb the lighthouse, he just gave a chance to get a photo from the bus and we drove around the community and while he told us the history about it. Then it was out to the beach where we had plenty of time to put our feet into the water, hit a few shops and then we had a FANTASTIC LUNCH at Pier 16, which was also our pickup spot.This is a very convenient tour as you can book a beach day (chairs, cooler, umbrella included), a bike rental day, or a day like the one that we did--Fort Pulaski, lighthouse and beach/pier. Parking is as bad as they say, so taking the bus out was great especially with the hotel pickup. Chris was really friendly and easy-going and again, very knowledgeable about the area and its history. I highly recommend taking a tour with him.

The tour guide was very knowledgeable and personable. The Fort Pulaski was interesting but could have skipped it, we only drove by the lighthouse because nobody was going in it, wish we could have stopped closer to to take a picture, the pier area had a lot to do, was able to walk to the sand and spend some time with my toes in the water. Also had lunch there.

Chris was great! He shared tidbits about the area on our drive to and from Tybee island. He was always right on time picking us up from our stops. I wish we would have skipped the lighthouse and stayed longer at Fort Pulaski.

We had the most amazing day spent with Prof. Jack on our first ever visit to Tybee Island . Let me tell you , if history is your passion like it is ours … ask for Prof.Jack and you really will be surprised and completely fulfilled by all you ascertain . The guided land tour to Tybee Island was an unforgettable experience, thanks to Chris's incredible knowledge and hospitality. The pacing was perfect, allowing us to explore each site leisurely without feeling rushed. With no rental car, this was an unbeatable way to see everything at a great price. The gorgeous, unseasonably warm weather and Chris's thoughtful touch of sharing movie-related photos afterward made the day even more special. It felt like having a private, personalized adventure with my spouse—highly recommend!

Took this tour on a not so pleasant day to be at the beach. We were the only ones to book a tour that day. The owner was very accomidating, picked us up at our hotel and gave us a private tour of the area with stops at Ft Pulaski and Tybee Lighthouse. He provided lots of interting information about the area. The tour included an afternoon on Tybee beach. He dropped us off and we had a lunch and a walk about. Due to the unfavorable weather I contacted him and asked if he could pick us up early. He was there are promised, right on time. Would highly recommend Tybee Beach Bus!
