We recently spent 11 nights in September at Casa Minke, and it was the perfect Portuguese getaway. This apartment had absolutely everything we could ever want in a holiday rental, making our stay completely seamless and relaxing. The property itself is incredibly comfortable and well-thought-out. The kitchen is fully equipped with every appliance and utensil you could need. The large bedroom features an incredibly comfortable bed that guaranteed a great night’s sleep, and the living room is a wonderful, cozy space. Our absolute favourite feature was the large balcony right off the living room—ideal for relaxing after a long day in the sun. As a major bonus, free on-site parking is available if you need it, which adds massive value and peace of mind. The location strikes the perfect balance. It is a very reasonable distance from the local shops, lively bars, and the stunning beach. It's close enough to easily walk to everything, yet tucked away enough to remain peaceful at night. We discovered some wonderful restaurants nearby, and Taffy's Bar quickly became our favourite watering hole—the perfect spot to stop off for a refreshing drink after a hot day at the beach! What truly elevated our experience was our host, Luis. Because we had a late arrival, he kindly sent us detailed instructions via WhatsApp on how to self-access the apartment, which made check-in entirely stress-free. Throughout our stay, he was always just a quick phone call away if we needed anything at all. From the excellent hospitality to the fantastic amenities, Casa Minke exceeded all of our expectations. We are already looking forward to booking our next stay at this fabulous apartment.

Had a great surf lesson with SUPA Nuno and Sarah were great instructors who made it possible to catch many waves.

We loved everything about our swim. Of course, the water and scenery are beautiful, but it was made extra special by our guide Claudia. She was friendly, welcoming, thoughtful and showed us to amazing places we would never have visited on our own. My husband gets sea sick even when swimming, and Claudia was always checking to see that he was comfortable. In addition, the company was super helpful before the day of the swim itself. When the conditions looked unfavourable, they were in regular contact about alternative plans, sending us photos and videos of other places to go. We would highly recommend this trip!

This was one of the best open water swims I have had over many years of swimming! When the combination of great company, incredible nature and wonderful sea conditions all combine, a truly incredible experience occurs and I was lucky enough to have that on my swim. My tour guide Claudia was incredible, she tempered her speedy pace to match mine and not only guided me through and into the most incredible caves but also took some epic photos! The pre admin and communication beforehand was fantastic. I’d highly recommend this, even if you think you’re not a great swimmer, you can pop on fins, it really is such a special experience to do. This was a great lesson, we had so much fun. Annalisa, Sara and Cristian were all so helpful and kind. We learned a lot and I would recommend.

I give 5 because I cannot give 10 stars. I had already taken several classes and coming back this year was just INCREDIBLE. Afonso was an instructor who combined humor with patience and managed to get them catching waves. The remaining team was also spectacular. Thank you

Great introductory lesson for a beginner—I highly recommend giving it a try! It was such a fun experience. If I ever come back to this region, I will definitely return to this school!

Me and my friends had the opportunity to have a class with Pedro and Manuel and it was amazing! In addition to learning a lot from the class (the next day I and my friends already managed to catch the waves alone), Pedro and Manuel are very good waves (pun intended) that made the experience super fun and pleasant. I recommend to anyone the 2H class and if they have the opportunity, the 3H class. A big hug for Manuel and Pedro! Carlos

My daughter and I have had a very good experience with the course. They offer you a lot of flexibility to choose the class days and the instructors are wonderful.
