5/5 — Outstanding Osaka food tour We had an incredible time on our food tour in Osaka. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and genuinely fun — he knew the city, the food, and how to keep the group engaged without ever feeling rushed or scripted. We had an awesome time with him from start to finish. The food was excellent. Every stop delivered, and we enjoyed it immensely. It was the kind of tour that makes you feel like you’re eating with a local who actually cares that you leave happy and full. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a well-run, tasty, and entertaining way to experience Osaka.

Food tour in the main tourist area and very crowded at our 5.30 pm start time. First food stop consisted of crumbed fried skewers and had to miss our octopus food stop as too crowded then Dinner at iconic pancake’s restaurant . Tour guide also showed us popular tourist photo spots as we walked around.

We had a fantastic food tour with Mich through Dotonbori, and hidden gems around, sampling takoyaki, okonomiyaki. Mich fascinating stories about Osaka—“Japan’s kitchen”—and its food traditions made the experience especially memorable, from street food origins to the local habit of eating piping hot takoyaki despite the inevitable burn. Fun, authentic, and delicious, this tour is highly recommended for anyone visiting Osaka

My brother and I had such a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this tour and our guide Mika. The food was delicious and Mika was very personable and friendly.

This was a good overall food tour. It was nice seeing the two main neighborhoods of Osaka and the guide gave us some historical cultural information besides food. There is only three stops here. You get filled up because there is a lot at each stop but I think if I did it again, I would try to do something where you got a little more variety.

Tony and TonyO. were our guides. They were outstanding and made the experience even better. Not only did they take us to so many places to try a variety of delicious authentic Osaka cuisine, their rich knowledge of the history of Osaka was fun to hear and experience. They took us to places in Osaka we would have never ventured off to and learned about on our own. We even took the local train to get to some areas. They exceeded our expectation. The food and experience was so affordable and worth every cent. They took pictures for us so we were always able to stuff our faces, enjoy a beverage and have the fun moments captured. They are excellent photographers too! It's a must do in Osaka.

Our Local Foodie and Walking Tour in Dotonbori and Shinsekai was fantastic. Our guide Mich was brilliant. We were very lucky to be the only two guests on this tour so we got her undivided attention. It gets very busy in the evenings so you need to stay close to her when following through the crowded streets and pay attention! There was more food than what we could eat and we also were allowed 3 drinks, (alcoholic or non alcoholic). Her commentary was very informative and interesting and we learnt a bit more about the Japanese history and culture, particularly around the food scene. We would highly recommend this evening tour.
