The tour with our excellent local guide, Lucía, covered all the major Roman sites in Mérida. Lucia obviously has a genuine interest in the story she tells. It was a really enjoyable, informative morning.

The tour is quite complete and Pablo an excellent guide, with deep knowledge about the architecture and uses and customs of the Roman Mérida. The combined ticket to the various monuments is excellent.

There is quite a bit of walking so wear comfortable shoes and bring water with a hat/sunscreen. Lucia was an amazing guide- so personable and knowledgeable about her city. It sounds like not many travelers make the extra stop in Mérida which is a shame because it truly is a history lover’s paradise!

Fabulous tour and guide in Merida. You miss so much if without a guide. So much to see. Highly recommended.

We loved it, I was surprised by the greatness of the monument. Mérida for me was a pleasant surprise in historical terms. The combined ticket to the various monuments is excellent.

We have learned a lot Very pleasant and interesting explanations. Despite being a 3.5 hour visit and that, in principle, seems expensive, it does not get long and worth it, because you see a lot in a short time and with the tickets included.

Lucia is a fantastic guide, with a lot of patience, and she doesn't leave any detail or question unexplained. Highly recommended.

I really liked the tour and highly recommend the guide Lúcia. He prepared a game for the kids and explained everything carefully and with details that make a difference. Speak Portuguese. We went through the main Roman sites and it was very nice on foot, even with children.

It is a necessary experience because in this case our guide transported us to the era of how they lived and had fun, the experience was very kind and pleasant

Lucia was amazing! Her knowledge was deep and her love Mérida shone through. She was well-equipped with visual aids to add additional color to her descriptions. We moved comfortably between each of the sites and never felt rushed. The museum add-on was well worth it. It’s. Very large museum and the English is limited and non-existent for the special exhibitions. We highly recommend this tour, and extremely highly recommend Lucia as a tour guide. She fluidly switched back and forth between Spanish and English. She was also very up to date with the current archeology status. There are many active digs on the walk.

We took a nighttime guided tour with Activa Viajes through the Roman theater and amphitheater, which started at 7:45 PM and ended at 9:00 PM during the carnival season. The group was relatively large, but since there were no other people at that hour in the archaeological site, it was not bad. The guide who conducted the tour with us was professional, without managing to excite the group, although it is difficult to do so when there are many of us and there is not much time to do it. Beyond these details, it is charming to see these significant places with so much history in solitude and with the tranquility of the night. We booked the tour a month in advance online and met the rest of the group and the guide at the ticket sales area of the archaeological site. It is a very interesting and recommended experience. The explanations were more detailed at the theater, to which we dedicated more time and visited several spaces, while she explained the amphitheater to us from an exterior point of it, without us going into its facilities. The explanations were fine, but in such a short time there isn't room for many details or anecdotes to engage the audience.

This tour was absolutely the best. We saw all the key Roman site. The most interesting for us was the Roman Circus. It is the only one left from the Roman world and it size was impressive. We went into the Museum and I can it was awesome. You will need to buy the ticket for the sites separate. Get the ticket for all of them. We we not disappointed. We only wish we had spent 2 days in Merida. Our tour guide, Lucia Te Guia, was the best. This tour was worth the money. We fully recommend it.

We booked as part of a group tour but we were the only people on the tour. Our guide, Lucia, was very knowledgeable and spoke excellent English as well as several other languages. She obviously enjoyed her subject and her enthusiasm was infectious! We saw all the major sites in Merida and some smaller ones we would have missed had it not been for Lucia. Thoroughly recommend the tour and the guide.

I cannot recommend the tour with Lucia highly enough. She was professional, friendly and very knowledgeable and the three hours just flew by. Unforgettable.
