A great experince all round, its noisy, dusty, and loud, but I wouldn't expect anything else
We were staying at a hotel 5 minute walk from their site, so walked. Recieved a warm welcome, showed our drivinf licence, were given a QR code which linked to a web page to fill in your details.Once everyone was all ready, we watch a short video, then were give our guide who gave us all our instructions for safety. we were given goggles to wear, that fitted nicely over my glasses, and put on my snood for the dust.He was very friendly, and went to each buggy to talk a few things over, and show us how to start and stop them, then we were on our way.The buggies are great fun to drive, the steering is heavy, like a go kart, but they are very easy to drive. with no windscreen it gets windy, noisy and dusty, but I didnt expect anything other than this.We did a bit of road driving, then hit the trails, it is probably 70% off road, with some fairly smooth, some washboard surfaces, and some real deeply pitted tracks, that really show what the buggies are capable of.After about an hour driving we stopped by Ermita de las Nieves on the Risco de Famara.Our guide gave us some interesting history of the chuch itself, the mountain, and the islands and surroundingsWe were then given the option to swap drivers, then headed back down.In all it was a bit longer than 2 hours in the buggies, was a great fun, and informative trip, with the chance to see parts of the island you would not normally be able to in a car.I would 100% recommend this to anyone with a sense of adventure, getting away from the tourist hotspots, having a bit of a blast, and wanting to get a bit more excitement than sitting by the pool or bar.
