Our first time white water rafting, our guide explained everything very well & made it fun. Our driver, Tate I think was a good photographer who followed us down the river taking action shots.

The best, most exhilarating, and fun paid-for activity on our trip to Banff and Jasper. If you are on the fence between rafting the Athabasca or the Sunwapta, go for the Class III Sunwapta, which is even more of a kick. Far more enjoyable than the Banff Gondola or the Columbia Icefields Glacier Adventure. Our guide, Tim, was excellent, as were the other staff, even bus driver Steve.

We had Eric as our guide. It was our children's first time rafting. They loved it: the excitement, the explanations about nature. The complete package. The children thought this was the best outing ever. I would book with them again in a heartbeat.

Well organised and fun experience. Our family loved it. Great guiding and we had a raft to our family.

We had a fun ride with our family! Our guide Augie (from Japan), was really good and had us entertained during the trip. She told about the creeks and mountains, and knew what birds were around. Overall the trip was well planned and the provided gear was excellent.

Thanks to Andy, Eric, Chris and Tyler for giving us an amazing experience. The rapids were immense. Such a lovely way to see the landscape. Highly recommend this trip, well worth the money

Great experience with a top-notch guide. Maybe it lacks a bit of autonomy because with its large paddles at the back, the guide does almost all the work. That doesn't prevent a few fun splashes. I recommend this activity for families, okay for beginners. Maybe there is more flow in the spring?

Quick fun rapids with great guides. Lucas was a great guide, pointing out all natural landmarks as we went down the river.

Exhilarating! Wet suits kept us warm despite water 4 Celsius. Gearing up and down was easy. Tim gave good instructions and kept us in the boat! Lots of fun! Can’t wait to see the photos!

Absolutely amazing. Stunning location, well equipped package with lovely warm wet suits for the facial water. Incredible friendly and knowledgeable guides.

Tim was great as a guide. I had a great time. Fun to get decked out in a wetsuit and pretty wet. There was about 10 minutes after put in that it was slow but then the rapids kept coming. Very fun.

The rafting on the Sunwapta was very cool. The first part is bobbing, but then it's hard work. Our guide Colin tried very hard to get the best out of it. In the meantime told a lot about the truly beautiful environment we sailed through.

We went on this rafting tour just yesterday on a road trip from Calgary to Vancouver, staying over in Jasper. What better way to see the beauty of the mountains and surrounding landscapes than in an adrenaline rafting experience down river rapids. Having never done white water rafting before we were a little apprehensive as to what to expect with Class 3, but with amazing guidance from the Maligne team, and our guide Colin we experienced some amazing rapids and got very wet, but everyone stayed in the boat. Colin was also very knowledgeable about the area and when not instructing us on paddling would tell us about different mountains, and unique features along the river. Thanks to the whole team who made it feel like a real adventure, and specifically Chris who drove the bus!!! A 5 star activity, a must do, and definitely one to come back and do again. Thanks guys.
