Very relaxed and enjoyable
The coach was comfortable and modern. The weather forecast was for possible flurry/snow/hail. The driver explained the coach was built for extreme weather which was reassuring. I enjoyed the drivers commentary and humour. The weather was a mix of sun and severe wind and snow. The experience was amazing. While others sheltered in the coach at the top of the mountain, I stepped out side to experience for the first time horizontal snow smashing into my face during a short few minutes of over 100kph freezing wind, and a -12 c wind chill. The view was amazing as the storm passed and the sun came out. Overall it was a very good trip. Highly recommended :)

A wonderful inspiring day in nature
This was such a wonderful tour. From the moment we boarded the mini bus our guide Hannah did an absolute stellar job bringing the day together and making sure everything went smoothly. She kept us informed along the way about what to expect, offering lunch options, and plenty of well-timed toilet stops, with lots of information about each major sight and Tassie in general. She was calm and friendly, and she navigated the roads with expert skill (carefully missing a pademelon at one point that hopped out in front of the bus). The tour itself was wonderful. We had lovely weather and saw all the things promised in the description, plus we had the added bonus of seeing a platypus when we stopped for a picnic by a little river. But what truly elevates this tour is the depth and integrity of Hannah's knowledge. Rather than just pointing out sights, she taught us the names of local plants, educated us on local snakes, and spoke with deep, genuine respect about Indigenous and cultural history (she even suggested some books for further reading). She also offered important nuanced insights into Tasmania’s ecology and the broader environmental context which is what made the trip so memorable for me. Plus she kindly pulled over at a roadside farm stand so I could buy fresh local apples to take home!If you want a tour that is full of beautiful Tasmanian sights but isnt rushed or touristy, and is deeply informative and connected to the real heart and soul of Tasmania, this is a wonderful choice. Thank you to the company (I hope they see this review) but most of all to Hannah who made the day so special. A big thanks also to the wonderful cave guide. He was an absolute gem -- so passionate about the history of the caves and the wonders of that magical underground world.

Fantastic day at Wineglass Bay
This was a fantastic full-day tour and a great way to experience Wineglass Bay and Freycinet National Park. The scenery throughout the day was absolutely beautiful, especially the views from Wineglass Bay Lookout and the stops around Freycinet. Our guide Alex was passionate, knowledgeable, and humorous. He shared lots of interesting information about Tasmania and kept the long day entertaining and engaging. Highly recommend this tour!

I really enjoyed the Port Arthur tour. The combination of beautiful Tasmanian scenery and fascinating history made the experience well worth the visit. Our guide, Lucas, was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of interesting information throughout the day. Overall, it was an enjoyable and worthwhile experience, and I would definitely recommend it!

This was a great tour....
This was a great tour. Our driver Dave was funny, informative and made this tour enjoyable. Takes an hour to get up the mountain. You have 30 mins up there and the view is spectacular. We were lucky enough to have a clear view of Hobart and then the snow clouds came over and it bucketed with snow. Such a cool experience. It’s a must do when in Hobart.

The Best 1 day tour in Tasmania.
What fantastic day out with Jarrod on our day trip around Mt Field, Mt Wellington, Richmond and beyond. We really enjoyed Jarrod’s commentary, he is incredibly well versed in the history of the places we visited. He treated all of us with a warmth and respect that helped make our Tassie trip so much fun. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Hobart as you’ll get to enjoy some amazing places and sights.

Wear good hiking shoes, dress in layers, be prepared for bitterly cold temps at Mt Wellington.

Day Tour in Mt. Field, Mt. Wellington, Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary and Richmond
JANA_G, Sep 2026
Wear good hiking shoes, dress in layers, be prepared for bitterly cold temps at Mt Wellington.
WEAR waterproof hiking shoes, take trekking poles only IF you need them, wear layers and always be prepared for near freezing temperatures at the top of Mt Wellington. I normally need trekking poles for stairs and steep declines, but it was not a problem on this short 40 minute trek through the Tall Trees in Mt Field National Park. There are a few hundred stairs coming down from the rainforest. You will hike through wet, slippery, muddy, BEAUTIFUL cool rainforest past waterfalls. You will see fabulous kangaroos and wombats and Tasmanian devils and other endemic wildlife at Bonorong, and amazing vistas from the bitterly COLD, WINDY top of Mt Wellington, as well as other pleasant stops along the way like historic Richmond with its cute bakeries, pies, and ice cream shops. Ask for tour guide Gary! Great guide and bus driver. He was funny and informative and very skilled as a driver. It was a WARM spring day, and I felt silly all day for bringing a backpack with an extra hat, gloves, and coat…until we stopped at the top of Mt Wellington! Then I was so grateful that I had my down coat, Tibetan wool hat, and gloves! Other reviewers said to bring a snack since we don’t eat till afternoon… I guess if you are a hobbit or have small children, go ahead. I did not find it necessary. You might want to bring a refillable water bottle, but there is a 90 minute lunch stop in the afternoon in Richmond with many little eateries to choose from. A great way to see a lot of the highlights of the region in a single day!

Great full day trip to Wineglass Bay
We had a great time on the Freycinet & Wineglass Bay Full Day Tour, and a big thank you to our guide, Alex!Alex was a very skilled and careful driver, and he managed the timing really well throughout the day. Thanks to his good time management, we were able to stay on schedule and make the most of our stops at Wineglass Bay, Devil’s Corner Winery and Richmond. The walk up to the Wineglass Bay lookout was manageable even without proper hiking gear, and the view at the top was absolutely amazing — definitely one of the highlights of the trip!We also really enjoyed our visit to Devil’s Corner Winery. The lady at the counter was lovely and very generous with the wine tasting. Although the tasting set we purchased included three types of wine, she was kind enough to let us try four, which was a really nice touch. Our stop at Richmond was unfortunately quite short, at around 25 minutes, and as we arrived at about 4:20pm on a Sunday, most of the shops were already closed. It would have been nice to have a little more time there, but we understand that there was a lot to fit into a full-day itinerary.Overall, we had a wonderful day and really appreciated Alex’s driving, punctuality and effort in making sure we could see as much as possible. We would definitely recommend this tour!

Enjoyable holiday with Tassie tour
I had an awesome 3-day trip in Hobart with Tassie tour with 3 different tour guides. They are all amazing, very knowledgeable, relaxed and flexible with schedules. They are locals so know the secret nice places and where to find wildlife. I especially like the tour guide we went on Sat 12/09/26 who took us around Hobart (sorry I missed his name..) he has a great sense of humor and knows how to engage people in his talks. Rob and Andrew took us the next 2 days are great as well! Thank you for keeping us safe and informative!

A long day but worth the effort to see wine glass bay and light house views. Take enough supplies of food and drinks, options are limited. Guides were great very knowledgeable about the area and history and looked after us very well. Good shoes a must and keep an eye on the weather for your outfit, we had a magnificent day should have worn shorts.
