Early sept 26, we flew to Fiji stayed at The Palms Resort opposite Denarau Marina 2 days before & after our cruise.The Staff from B.L.C, Greeted us as we walked on the Pier at the gangway All Smiles, we made our way to the dining area for Welcome Drinks, non rush, later we found our cabin it had large windows across outer side, they are Either Full up or Full Down..........No Adjustment.." Bring some string / small cord to ajust windows " I did ...Spotless bathroom, and cabin , large wardrobe mini fridge nice firm bed. Great for a Good 7 nights SleepThe Captains dinner that night, twin Xl tables Nicely decorated, my wife sat alongside the Captain, food was Delicious, our pax company were all friendly, and Happy. later the Captain asked my wife how old she was ! stunned she told him, I thought he needs watching...yeah right..We found the staff Very Friendly, Nothing was to much just Ask and it was Done for you.The daily meals were varied, plentiful, and Delicious, the Franke coffee machine perfect espressos, for us and large Delicious freshly baked short breadsGetting On & Off the 2 XL dinghies that ferried you to beache & . islands was safe, easy with Staff always there to assist you, many times Captain in Crew Attire.All the visits to Villages, and islands were Very Pleasurable activities were many, Always at Your Want or notHighlights cooked Under ground feast, with local village visiting for Song & Dances routines Great entertainmentDoing the Under ground . swimming tour absolutely a Must as long as you have the Fitness for it, you must be a Steady walker for this, Steepish Rutted steps, Rickerty hand rails. We are Both Fit, Slim, Octogenarians and managed well. Always with Crew Helping you at difficult parts.The stairs are on 3 decks all up, but you mainly use 2 decks as the roof top is open air full time. but Dinners are set up weather permitting Naturally.Motoring on a Cat hull vessel was mostly Smooth, Light Rolling, a light swell sometimes all up a piece of cake but USE the hand rails Always and Watch you Step.Engine noise was to be expected, specially on the Bottom deck as we were but...Twin V12 MTU s were Music to My Ears.I would like to Thank All the Crew, Specially, the Captain Fabian.. ..1st engineer Julian. for our in depth talks on vessel Propulsion, Purificication, calorifiers, and " Cat Gensets " Finally Awesome Twin V12. 2000 , MTU sMojee, Nicky, Vinaisa, Lote, And Leslie, head marman, he was Entertaining, witty, Very Perceptive, Constant professional, Genuine person.Full Marks to All the Staff for All Ashore Entertainment, Drinks, activities, Food, Canoes, & Ferrying Pax To & Fro. it requires Very Much Crew Effort & Coordination....The Staff were Perfect Professionals in my opinion, (Ex asst chief night steward RMS. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ **Absolutely Fantastic Day Cruise – Exceptional Team and Memorable Experience**I had the pleasure of taking the **Captain Cook Cruises Day Cruise on Saturday, 19 September**, and what an incredible experience it was. The day was **amazing, magical, beautiful, and full of memorable moments**.Having worked in the hospitality and tourism industry for many years, I pay particular attention to service standards, guest engagement, presentation, teamwork, and the overall guest experience. I can honestly say that the crew on this particular cruise were absolutely fantastic.I would like to personally acknowledge the following team members:**Wise, Julius, Qory, Talei, Amelia, Mere, Joseva, Captain Mari, John Biu, and Bale.**Every one of them contributed to making the day special. Their friendliness, professionalism, teamwork, entertainment, and willingness to engage with guests were clearly noticeable throughout the cruise.### 🌟 Special Recognition to BaleA very special mention must go to **Bale**, who was one of the highlights of the day. WOW!She was exceptionally well presented, precise, attentive to detail, friendly, energetic, and always had a beautiful smile. She had a wonderful way of interacting with guests and creating a positive atmosphere. Her ability to entertain while maintaining professionalism was outstanding.Bale genuinely helped make everyone's day amazing, and I believe she is a wonderful asset to the Captain Cook Cruises team.### 🌊 Recognition for the Marine BiologistI would also like to recognise the **Marine Biologist**, who was absolutely amazing.She was calm, knowledgeable, professional, and very detailed when explaining the marine environment and activities. It was very clear to me that she is extremely hardworking and passionate about her role.Her job is challenging, particularly when she is required to continuously enter the water even when conditions are unpleasant. That level of commitment should not go unnoticed. I strongly believe the company should value and recognise the contribution she makes.Her knowledge and experience have certainly added another dimension to the Captain Cook Cruises experience. Having worked in many areas of hospitality and tourism myself, I was particularly impressed by her attitude, dedication, and professionalism.### 🎶 Activities and EntertainmentThe activities were another major highlight of the cruise, and the **singing and entertainment were especially enjoyable**. The crew created a wonderful atmosphere and kept guests engaged throughout the day.This is what hospitality is all about — creating experiences that people remember long after they leave.### 🍽️ A Small Suggestion – Breakfast ServiceI would also like to provide one small operational suggestion that may help improve the guest experience and housekeeping efficiency.During breakfast, I noticed that **serviettes were being used in a way that allowed crumbs to fall onto the carpet/rug**. Perhaps the use of **small paper plates or suitable breakfast plates** could be considered. This would provide guests with a better surface for their food while also reducing crumbs falling onto the carpet and potentially creating additional cleaning work for the team.It is only a small observation, but sometimes small operational changes can make a significant difference.### ⚠️ Important OHS & Guest Safety ObservationI would also like to raise an important safety observation regarding **guest disembarkation and boarding**.On the day of our cruise, the sea was quite windy and the conditions were relatively rough. I observed that during disembarkation, a ramp was not being used and staff were physically supporting guests as they boarded and disembarked.Although the staff were doing their very best to assist and protect the guests, I felt that this method could potentially present a safety risk, particularly when the boat is moving or rocking due to sea conditions.If a guest were to take the wrong step or lose their balance while the vessel was moving, it could potentially result in an accident, even with staff providing assistance.From an **Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) perspective**, I believe this is something that should be reviewed as soon as possible. My intention in providing this feedback is not to criticise the crew — quite the opposite. The staff were doing an excellent job under the circumstances.I am raising this observation because **guest safety and staff safety must always come first**. If there is a safer boarding and disembarkation procedure, such as the appropriate use of a ramp or another approved system depending on sea conditions, I believe this should be implemented and consistently followed.This would help prevent potential accidents in the future and also provide additional protection for both **Captain Cook Cruises and its guests**.### 🌺 Overall ExperienceOverall, this was an **absolutely fantastic cruise**, and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.The crew were the biggest highlight for me. Their attitude, teamwork, professionalism, entertainment, and genuine engagement with guests demonstrated what good hospitality should look like.**Wise, Julius, Qory, Talei, Amelia, Mere, Joseva, Captain Mari, John Biu, Bale, and the entire crew — thank you for making the day so special.**Your service, smiles, entertainment, knowledge, and dedication created a wonderful experience that I will remember.I have worked in hospitality for many years, and I can genuinely appreciate a team that understands that **service is not just about serving guests — it is about creating memories, making people feel welcome, and ensuring they leave with a positive experience.**Captain Cook Cruises should be proud of this team. I had the best time onboard the Blue Lagoon Cruise, everything was beyond my expectations. The crew were remarkable, all so happy and helpful. The destinations were unbelievable, the rooms very comfortable and lucky for us the other passengers were wonderful.

The cruise was excellent and with only 44 passengers lots of room to get around and get to know each other. The crew were so obliging and friendly. The rooms and food also very good.

It’s a must do experience if you want a stress free way to see some of the most iconic places in Fiji while you are pampered on a new ship by an incredible attentive and friendly crew. The small number of guests on board allows you to experience a luxurious cruise trip

We had an amazing experience with Blue Lagoon Cruise. The staff were friendly, professional, and attentive, the scenery was absolutely stunning, and everything was well organised from start to finish. The food, activities, and overall service exceeded our expectations.I would highly recommend Blue Lagoon Cruise to anyone looking for a memorable and relaxing island experience. We have just returned from the 4-night Blue Lagoon Cruise and what an incredible experience it was!The boat itself was lovely, our cabin was spotlessly clean, comfortable and thoughtfully equipped. We were greeted with a beautiful beach bag, sarongs, reusable water bottles and other lovely touches which made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived.The food was excellent throughout the cruise. There was certainly no danger of going hungry – in fact there was probably a little too much! Every meal was delicious with plenty of choice.The included excursions were all well organised and gave us the opportunity to experience the beautiful Yasawa Islands. Whether it was snorkelling, village visits or exploring, every activity was enjoyable and professionally run.What really made the holiday, however, was the crew. Every single member of staff was friendly, welcoming and genuinely seemed to enjoy making our trip special. Nothing was too much trouble, and they created such a warm, relaxed atmosphere on board.One thing that particularly impressed us was the emphasis on safety. Whether we were snorkelling, visiting the caves or taking part in other excursions, the crew took the time to explain everything clearly and ensured everyone felt comfortable and safe before each activity began. It was reassuring to see such a professional approach while still keeping everything fun and enjoyable.We would not hesitate to recommend Blue Lagoon Cruises to anyone wanting to experience the beauty of Fiji. It was the perfect combination of relaxation, adventure and outstanding hospitality, and we left with wonderful memories that will stay with us for a long time.

It's hard to define what made this trip so fantastic - it was greater than the sum of its parts and far exceeded my (already high) expectations based on friends' opinions. We didn't have the best weather on some days so some aspects of the itinerary were changed - this didn't have any negative impact on our experience. The ship is beautiful and spotless, the food is excellent but the standout, as per other reviewers' comments, is the genuine nature of the crew. Every crew member is so engaging, warm and helpful. Miri, Nicky, Latty, Vika are incredible (as was everyone, really). And then there's bar manager, Leslie who is an absolute star, a charmer and comedian (and creates mean cocktails too). I could easily have stowed away for another 7 nights. What a truly memorable trip.

Idyllic waters and island visits, great food, delightful staff and a well designed ensuite cabin. I shall be back.

Though we have travelled extensively, we have never been on a cruise before. The Yasawa Islands and Blue Lagoon Cruises were recommended to us. We had the most exceptional experience. All crew members were fantastic and made sure we were safe at all times when we were experiencing the amazing Islands. 12/10 for bed comfort, food, information on next days travel, happy staff and likeminded fellow travellers.

We had a fabulous family holiday (eight of us) on the MV Yasawa Princess 11 (four-night Blue Lagoon Cruise). The boat was brand new. Cabins big and beds extremely comfortable. Food and experiences were great. The crew were amazing – from Captain Joe, to those operating the tender boats. The housekeeping staff and kitchen and wait staff were always happy and always conscious of your needs. We visited some amazing islands, and had wonderful and memorable village visits too. Could not fault a thing. Would definitely recommend and will definitely return. Well done Captain Joe and your crew. Vinaka vaka-levu

We got a complimentary pick up from our Denarau Hotel. Check in was a bit frenetic but was fine. Our suitcase was then transferred to the ship directly while we had a day at the Malamala Beach Club (would recommend upgrading to a beach cabana with butler service if you want some quiet ) We were then awaiting the tender transfer to the ship that happened later than we expected (ie Fijian time) We were probably on the ship at 5 and went to our cabin to change for the Captain's dinner, thinking we had missed the quick trip to Castaway Island. This was then announced but we had already changed into non- beach clothes so didn't go. The welcome from the crew with individual handshakes was lovely and they were so friendly and lovely at all times. One crew member even summoned the reef sharks to the ship with a special call he'd learnt in his village from his grandfather. We were on the 3 night option and stayed in an Orchid Upper deck room. I agree with some fellow passengers that there was nowhere to relax in the cabin unless you laid on the bed, but it was perfect to watch the islands drift buy sitting in the shade of the bar with the fans going and an expertly mixed mocktail/cocktail between trips. Enough storage for us and you get used to the bathroom. The AC was efficient and we slept well We don't snorkel so did the glass bottom boat option to see the coral and reef sharks (also saw dolphins from the ship that day which the Captain announced ) Later we visited Soso Village and were welcomed by the chief and an Elder- with a quick visit to the school. You are given instructions on respecting local customs with regards to attire (you get a complimentary beach bag with sarongs, water bottles and toiletries) The next day we returned to the village for a church Service- such amazing harmonic singing. There was afternoon tea on the beach (well in the shade near the beach) One afternoon we had swimming on an idyllic beach where the crew had set up chairs/umbrellas and later afternoon tea. We were bid farewell with more singing by the crew as we swapped over with the 4 day arrivals. The food was good and the tender crews very good at helping people in and out of the boat. Our room was kept clean and we loved the complimentary laundry service with items delivered back the same day. I think they are maybe replacing the ship with a newer one this year, but we had a great time on the existing one and met some lovely crew and passengers.

A lovely day and evening. The snorkeling was good, tried paddle boarding. The island wasn't overcrowded and the crew were very entertaining, singing songs and dancing. The sunset cruise was perfect, the sunset was amazing as was the food and the evening entertainment.

Iva took excellent care of us. She made sure we had a private cabana and brought beverages, brought us to a lovely lunch and was a consummate hostess. We did the tivua day sail and lunch- not the sunset cruise.
