Top Ferrara Tours & Sightseeing

I was in Ferrara for a day and didn’t know what to do. I decided to go on this walking tour in the hope I would see the best parts of the city. It did not disappoint!! The walking tour was really good, it’s definitely worth buying a walking tour when you go to a new city. It took me to all the really cool places and quirky looking streets with the historic stories along the way. Very very picturesque. I’ve been to a cathedral (beautiful), a castle which was surrounded by a moat, this cemetery which is like nothing I’ve ever seen, the market town and a botanical garden amongst other things. I’ve done it all at my own pace, not rushed it and even sat in a pretty garden in the sun. It’s been a chill, but quite an adventurous day. What a great tour! Thank you.

Good informative guide delivered informally

Definitely, the highlights of our trip in Northern Italy! As restaurant owners from Seattle, we arrived with high expectations for authentic tastings and culinary knowledge, and our tour guide exceeded every single expectation!! She was friendly and deeply passionate about italian cuisine, epsecially the one of this region: she shared incredible inspiration on how to use cured-meats and Parmigiano, how to make fresh pasta and especially the pastisio of maccaroni. We learned also many differences between the food traditions of Ferrara, Modena and Bologna. Next time we will do also a food tour in Modena to learn more about the food of Emillia! The walking tour through the historic city center was relaxed and enjoyable. If you are staying in Ferrara for few days, this tour is essential: the guide gave us top recommendations for where to eat, have a typical aperitiv, and what to visit. Wheter you're just passing by Ferrara for a day or spending several nights in the city, this tour is perfect and you can add it as MUST-DO on your trip!

Our driver Marco picked us up at our hotel on time and gave us information about our trip to Volterra and on to San Gimignano. The van was cool and comfortable and we enjoyed the entire trip.

Elisa was a wonderful guide for our extended tour of Estense Castle. She is extremely knowledgeable about art, history, and especially the wonderful city of Ferrara. And best of all, she is a lot of fun! Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful time with our tour guide Massimo. He spent a lot of valuable time showing us around and sharing his knowledge about the history. Thank you Massimo!

The tour of Ferrara taken during the long weekend of April 25th with friends was beautiful, complete and exhaustive thanks to our excellent guide who explained and educated us about this splendid city. Thank you Mrs. Chirico for your professionalism and kindness!

Our Ferrara tour?? Where do you we even begin?? If you’re going to Italy and Ferrara is not on your list of places to visit, you are making a huge mistake! More importantly, if you’re not taking this tour, you’re making an even bigger mistake!! Our tour guide Margherita was beyond phenomenal!! She showed us so many interesting things, spent more time with us than we even expected , and answered every question we had. Before we were halfway done, we were ready to move to Ferrara! Thank you, thank you, thank you for offering this amazing tour and employing such a wonderful ambassador for this city! We look forward booking excursions with your company in the future!

Tour of the historic city center of Ferrara

We did the audio walking tour of Ferrara. It was excellent . It covered areas around the center of Ferrara, had interesting stories and background. We liked that it’s flexible. You can start at any point and rejoin as you wish.

Manuela is a wealth of information. She shares so much background information so you can see Ferrera in perspective to its long history. Enjoyed her antidotes and appreciation for different historical and architectural styles. Plan an extra 30 minutes so you don’t feel rushed for whatever your next activity might be. Time well spent if you came to learn about Ferrera and her culture!

Thorough history of Ferrara. Manuela was very friendly and knowledgeable about the city in general, as well as its customs and foods. We especially enjoyed the through and respectful history of the Jewish ghetto.
