Top Faro Surfing Lessons

My Daughter and I had an excellent experience taking our first surfing lesson with Manuel! Although my daughter seemed to be a natural, getting up on the board was a bit more challenging for me. Manuel was very patient and encouraging and quickly had me up on the board joining my daughter. The lesson and the time with Manuel was a highlight of our trip!

Really great experience. The surf instructors were all friendly and helpful. I had Joshua and he was very informative, helpful and funny. He made my first surfing lesson a lot of fun and was very encouraging - will definitely come back for another lesson when I’m next in Portugal. Thank you!

Awesome! Bruno was a fabulous instructor. It was my first time surfing (also my first time ever in a wetsuit) and I actually stood up! Took us to a little private island and it was absolutely beautiful and the waves were perfect. The facility was also very charming and clean. They have multiple boats so if you have a large party they can definitely accommodate but I loved my small group lesson, it was perfect.

After a short boat trip we arrived at the surf spot where the basics were briefly explained to us. We were traveling as a small private group with only 3 people, which gave us a lot of time on the water. Our instructor was great, so each of us could successfully surf a few waves.

Really nice and friendly guys. Did two lessons. I felt improved a lot on the second day. Highly recommended for everyone!

It was such a unique & fun experience! Genuinely it was so beautiful where we surfed and was in a quiet part of the beach.

This was well worth the money and a good way to spend the morning. There wasn't much rush, and the boat ride was also fun. You are expected to carry your own board across some dunes - no problem, but you need a reasonable level of fitness. Instruction was good, I got help when I wanted it and left alone to practise when I wanted. I've re-booked this trip to do again!

We had a great surfing lesson with Salty Experiences. Clear instructions, great beginner friendly waves, and an encouraging instructor. Almost everyone in the group managed to stand on the board for the first time which is testament to the great teaching. Would highly recommend anyone who’s interested in trying surfing to book a lesson here!

The waves were great for a first time on the board and the instructor (I think his name was Antonio) turned out to be really nice and prepared. He also recommended a great place to have lunch after class! To be redone absolutely!

It was an amazing time! My wife and I both were able to fully ride in waves with the help of our instructors! Super fun time!

I searched for a long time and JA ES is also possible to do a surf course in Faro😊 ES on the beach there is a branch here ES the boards and the suit and then ES continues with the boat, everyone carries his own board and at low tide just a bit further (was still fun) over the dunes ES then goes to the “real” beach and after an introduction then into the water everyone is after a good 3 h times on the board ES and surfed with the waves, has received many good tips and had fun but and that without big waves to surf but really well it certainly needs something more than this one boring afternoon.

This was my first time surfing, and I went for the group lesson. The instructors were friendly, competent and enthusiastic. We were given short wetsuits and coloured t-shirts to wear, and left our belongings in the office. There was a bit of hanging around at the beginning - although were advised to arrive ten minutes early, we waited for a long time for some latecomers before setting off on the boat. Then we had to turn around and come back again as the instructor forgot to bring extra fuel. Finally we reached a beautiful beach area, which we had all to ourselves. There was a couple and a single person who each had booked private lessons, and then four of us for the group lesson. We had to wait for a while for the tide to change before we could start. The instructions were good and thorough - the challenge is applying them in the water! If I had my time again, I would go for a private lesson as I think I would have benefitted from dedicated coaching. It was fun and I'm glad I tried it.The organisation prior to the lesson was very good - straight after booking I received a WhatsApp message to my phone with confirmation and instructions. I later replied with a question and got an immediate answer.

We held a group surf class, the instructors were spectacular, friendly and with a lot of experience!! The conditions were perfect for learning this mode (surf). Wonderful, I recommend it to anyone!!
