Top Ensenada Cooking Classes

What an absolutely wonderful experience! My best friend and I decided to take an impromptu cruise and Ensenada was our destination. We love to do culinary experiences, and I found this online. Five stars all the way around! Betty and her husband were absolutely fantastic. Great conversations and a wonderful host. We had a lovely time cooking some delicious food. I hope to be back soon and stay in one of their awesome Eco friendly casitas!

Betty, her sister and her husband were amazing hosts! She was so excited from the very beginning, showing us lots of pictures and information on what we were going to cook and telling us all about herself and her passion for cooking. We really felt like we were family being welcomed into her home. This was even more special because her sister was visiting, and we were able to experience their sisterly love and shared love for cooking! They are both incredibly charming and funny, making for some very fun banter in the kitchen as we learned their preferences for finely minced pico de gallo, heard stories about how their mom, aunts and grandmothers used to cook and what it was like growing up in both Mexico and the United States. They also have a love for travel that was great to chat about, and Betty's husband, Charles, joined us for our lunch and shared his life experiences, advice for the younger generation and passion for the sustainable home and bnb that he built with the help of his family and friends. I've never had pico de gallo that I enjoyed so much! The home made tortillas are a labor of love and were quite the enjoyable challenge. The fresh cheeses, jamaica juice, chicken enchiladas, and Betty's delicious refried beans really topped off a memorable day. It was then followed by the best flan we have ever had! Also, Betty was very conscious of our safety and ensured we did not touch any hot objects, etc. Not to mention, Betty did all of this while navigating an injured leg, never really letting on that she was in pain, although I am sure she was. We are wishing Betty a peaceful recovery and look forward to meeting her again! Don't hesitate to book with her, she is truly an amazing lady, and we learned so much about Mexican cooking.

We came with 4 couples while staying in Guadalupe Valle, we had the best time doing the cooking class with Enrique, then we had a very interesting and informative wine tasting with Luis we learned a lot about the history of their wines and bought a bottle of each of their delicious wine. Then drove to Ensenada for the tequila tasting our guide was Felix and we had a great time sampling their tequilas. We all had such a great time and would highly recommend this tour.

Very personable and professional experience. Romina was very knowledgeable of the wines and the aging process. Loved every minute. The cheese to compliment the wine tasting was perfect.

This is a beautiful facility up in the wine country hills of Ensenada. We did this experience as a "port adventure" from our Disney cruise. Yes, the margaritas are unlimited -- with a refreshing and tasty non-alcoholic version for those who don't care to imbibe. As you might expect, they don't mix them strong, so you don't need to worry about forgetting everything you learn in the cooking class (or forgetting that you took a cooking class). :-)The food is wonderful! The chef demonstrated a molcajete salsa (that I didn't dare try after seeing how many chiles were involved). We each created our own personal bowl of guacamole, followed by a chicken enchilada with a silky tomatillo salsa, and a tostada with flavorful machaca beef. Everything was great. You don't "cook", exactly, but you do assemble your own servings and can customize things to your taste.The people here are really lovely -- warm, friendly, and funny. A very worthwhile experience to get a little glimpse into the culture, cuisine, and life of Ensenada.

I loved the warmth with which they received me. Best of all was Romina’s treatment as she took the time to explain everything to me in great detail. You can tell they love what they do and that carried over into my experience.Mega I recommend this experience, and more if you go alone or alone.

Amazing Experience! Me and my fiancé were given knowledge on the wine process and the history! The sensory was amazing we were blindfolded as we tasted the wine and chocolates. 10/10 would recommend to all my friends

This is a must when you visit valle. The tour is very private and educational. The wine paired perfectly with the gourmet tray. The staff is friendly and the winery is top notch.

Transportation was arranged and they provided clear directions. Our driver for the day, Victor, was terrific. Very knowledgeable and was great at pointing out sights! The experience was great. Food was absolutely delicious, we learned a lot of tips for choosing ingredients & cooking tricks. The mezcal tasting was fun and informative. We enjoyed learning about where the food comes from, cooking and also learning some local Mexican history of the area.

This is so much more than a cooking class. It is an afternoon to be savored - we left with full bellies and full hearts. I highly recommend this experience - Betty is a delightful teacher, her property is beautiful, and her husband Charles lovingly shared how he hand built and cares for the hacienda. We had a great time; thank you for sharing your hospitality, home, and excellent cooking tips with us.
