Top Dresden Full-day Tours

We had an amazing with our tour guide. She was very knowledgeable and made a long day fun and interesting. Our driver Monica was wonderful too. I highly recommend this tour if you would like to see outside of Prague and its beauty.

Our day trip to both Saxon & Bohemian Switzerland National Park was a good experience. We enjoyed the small groups and appreciated the picking up and dropping off right at our hotel. The hiking was more challenging than expected and advised but we all tried hard to make it. John was such a great tour guide, knowledgeable, friendly and caring. He always looked back and checked to make sure everyone was safe and sound, stopped and waited and supported the slowest person. Thank you so much, John, for taking good care of us.

I did this tour with a good friend. I got along well with the tourguides, they were all nice and very well informed about the topics they were talking about. Even about topics which were not part of the tour, Czechie history for example, I could ask everything. In conclusion, it is a nice tour if you want to geek out!

The excursion to Saxon Switzerland was top-notch. Jens the bus driver, who was also practically a tour guide, provided an incredible amount of information to his guests via the bus loudspeaker live during the entire trip there and back. Incredible! We learned and found out a great deal about Dresden, the region, the history, and also about modern times. And all that with charm, wit, and professionalism.......Super guy! Jens, you earned your tip. Otherwise, there is only one more thing to say to the organizer, Stadtrundfahrten. Time! Give people more time at the fortress, at least! Two and a half hours is definitely too little to explore some of the huge complex there and also stop for a bite to eat. The Bastei is also calculated a bit tightly at 1.5 hours, but at the Königstein Fortress, it should be at least 3 hours. Achim and Karin

Tour was well organized and ran smoothly. Matyas was a great guide and friendly to everyone, communicative and willing to ask questions. Tour was willing to pick me up and drop off from different locations and was willing to help tour members with whatever issues they had.

The views at the three stops on this trip were amazing and more than I expected. The hike up to the Arch was more intense that I thought it was going to be but still anyone in moderate shape can do it if they take their time. The hike up is definitely worth it!The restaurant for lunch had excellent food and a great view of the Arch and surrounding scenery.Our guide and driver were locals with a lot of information and more than happy to talk with us.

We loved this trip. It was my second time but this time I brought my kids. Our guide Joseph is the best. My kids had so much fun and Joseph went above and beyond to make the trip special and fun even helping my family find gluten free food. I’ve used Uniline before so chose to use them again and Joseph. Great decision. When I come back to Prague will book another trip!

Let me start my feedback on the people who made this day possible. First of all, many thanks to our guide Dalibora who provided us with great commentary in both English and Spanish and she offered me her seat next to the driver because the seat I was supposed to sit on was broken. She also helped sorting my lunch at the restaurant when I was served something other than what I ordered. I really appreciated her gestures. She is also a walking encyclopedia, she knew every little detail about the places we visited. Continuing with the people, we actually had 3 drivers during the day. The 1st driver was Milos who didn't speak much English but he also didn't make us feel safe in the van. He used quick steering wheel moves trying not to crash into incoming traffic and he also almost crashed into traffic standing at traffic lights, breaking hardly at the very last minute instead of slowing down normally. These are just a few examples to illustrate my negative feedback on him and the other participants were also complaining about his careless driving. The 2nd driver Milan was fantastic, I had a great chat with him (in English) and he drove safely and carefully. I didn't catch the name of our 3rd driver who drove us back to our hotels but he knew a little English and he was a great driver as well. The experience itself was exactly as advertised, we were taken to great photo spots and walked across the Bastei Bridge before going to visit the Pravčická Archway in Czech Republic, which was a place where hiking shoes are recommended over ordinary sneakers. Then we had lunch where 1 drink was also included, I had a delicious pint of dark Kozel on draft. We then visited the Kamenice Gorge which is absolutely beautiful. We hopped in a boat large enough to fit everyone and went on a lovely boat trip on the Kamenice River. There was a lot of walking the whole day, since I booked the Hiking version of this tour but it was worth it and we had an amazing day.

I suppose that the success of this tour depends very much on the weather. We were extremely lucky as, although mid-December, the weather was extremely kind. Walking over the Bastei Bridge and later in Czech Bohemia would have been difficult in heavy rain and dangerous in heavy snow. The tour itself went exactly as advertised we were picked up at our hotel in Dresden and driven to the Bastei bridge. There, our small party of three was amalgamated with a larger group of eight from Prague. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and he and our driver from Dresden professional and solicitous. Snacks and water were included as was a good hearty Czech lunch - including beer! The only word of advice for those thinking of undertaking this tour is that it does require a significant amount of walking over terrain which is often uneven and rocky. Those that find such activities challenging should probably best avoid it at any season. Those that are confident and reasonably fit walkers will find the scenery spectacular and the guides knowledgeable, enthusiastic and professional.

Our transfer from Dresden to Prague was fantastic, thanks to Jitka, our guide. She was friendly and looked after us the whole way, making the trip stress-free and enjoyable.The stops were great. The Bastei Bridge had breathtaking views of the Elbe sandstone formations, and Tiské stěny’s unique rock labyrinth was a big thumbs up. Jitka shared a lot of knowledge making the experience even more memorable.Lunch across the border at Refugio was a highlight—delicious Svíčková and a cosy atmosphere.Highly recommend for a scenic and relaxing way to travel, door to door.

This was incredible tour. We chose this because we wanted to create more memories when traveling from Dresden to Prague. We thought having a tour guide would be better thanbtak8ng the train. We were correct. This was a fascinating time where we had many view from the car along the drive. But then we had the pleasure of enjoying the outdoors by taking 2 hike with our our wonderful tour guide Jitka. Jitka is knowledgeable and experienced and help us safely explore the beautiful Bastei Bridge and other areas in the forest. It was beautiful and the guide was perfect. This was the best way to travel between Dresden and Prague by far. Thank you Saxon Tours and Jitka.

It is an all day trek but isn't overly difficult or strenuous. The guides that we had were so sweet and did a great job of interacting with us. They will come to your hotel or rental to pick you up...which is unheard of!

What an amazing tour! Our guide, Daniel, was both our driver and guide. He is very knowledgeable of the sites we visited, and articulated his knowledge skillfully. The three sites are incredibly scenic and the tour included a delicious lunch at an alpine restaurant. I highly recommend the tour and Daniel as the tour guide

This was an unforgettable experience. Breathtaking scenery throughout. The tour was well managed, but read the comments. There is about 9 miles of hiking up and down steep hills. It was perfect for me, but not necessarily for all.

All three hikes were Beautiful.. We had a great driver and guide. The Czech restaurant’s meal was delicious.
