Alex gave a great history of the city and a thorough tour of the vibrant street art. He has a warm personality and has been doing this for so many years that everyone knows him along the way. Hands-down a perfect tour.

I want to especially highlight our guide, Juan Avilez, who made this adventure unforgettable. His experience, calmness, willingness, and motivation were fundamental for us to reach the crater safely. At all times he conveyed confidence, explained each step with patience, and was attentive to everyone's well-being, especially during the most demanding moments of the ascent and descent. Without a doubt, it was one of the best experiences I have had in the mountains. Reaching the crater of the Villarrica was a dream come true and a large part of that is due to the excellent work of Juan and the entire Rutas Outdoors team. I recommend them 100%. I really recommend Rutas Outdoors if you are looking the hike up Villarica volcano. The guides Miguel and Juan are really great guides. They made sure we were safe the entire time and took a lot of photos. The equipment was very good too. Thank you so much!

We saw Condors up close and flying both below and above the spot from where we were watching. Christabel was an outstanding guide as well as being a very interesting person. On this trip there are many quiet aces with great Andes vistas. Christabel was an outstanding guide.

We wanted to photograph the condor and Matias Silva organised a private tour. Our guide, Frank Normann, was excellent and we drove for 90 minutes up to Valle Nevado. Nothing there. We then descended to Farellones and for a couple of hours saw many condors quite close, with one male perching on the nearby hotel. On the way down Frank spotted a pair of eagles. We stopped and we also saw a pair of foxes.

Where do I start. Our guide Alex was exceptional!! Lots of locals clearly know him and we were welcomed into galleries and cafes with open arms by the locals. Alex’s local artist and history knowledge was first rate. He was very friendly and personable and generous with his time, and if we do this again wouldn’t hesitate to request him as our guide. Loved we took the funicular up and walked down rather than the other way around. We had a lovely sunny afternoon which played beautifully with all the street art and building colours. I’d suggest to do a 1-2pm tour start if you can. Alex left us at a gorgeous corner with loads of cafes and restaurants to choose from for an early dinner. The one we chose was extremely good quality. Well done Alex!!

Alex / Alejandro was such a fantastic guide for this tour. He knew almost every artist, street vendor, and local dog, and could tell us so many stories from behind the scenes in Valparaiso. It is clear how close he is with this community, as many local artists stopped us to tell us about how lucky we were to have him as a guide and how fantastic he was. The tour was well paced, well structured, and at the end he left us with great recommendations for what to do next. I’d recommend Alex and this tour to anyone interested in learning about Valparaiso and getting to know the stories behind the art and artists that make up the city.

I had a really great experience hiking Volcán Villarrica with Ruta Outdoors. They provide you with all the necessary equipment (backpack, shoes, snow pants, jacket, etc.), so you don't have to worry about much. We started the hike early in the morning, which allowed us to watch the beautiful sunrise from the mountain. Juan, the guide, was extremely experienced and very kind, always making sure I was okay, and explaining every part of the hike clearly. I felt safe at all parts of the hike, even though the terrain can be a bit challenging at times. Highly recommend this hike to anyone looking for an adventure. We had an amazing experience climbing Villarrica Volcano with Rutas Outdoor. They provided all the necessary equipment, which was high quality and well-maintained, and everything was organized very professionally from start to finish. On a day before they took from us the exact sizes and all was waiting for us at the climbing day ready to use. Our guide, Juan, was outstanding. He stayed with us the entire time, making sure everyone felt safe and supported. Even though we didn’t reach the summit, he handled the situation with great care and professionalism, always putting our safety first and keeping a positive attitude throughout. We truly felt taken care of the whole way. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful morning riding horses just outside of Santiago. The weather was not great so we couldn’t see the Andean mountain vistas but it was fun to explore nature. The horses were friendly and our guide, Therese, who owned the stables was great to talk to. A native of the US, she’s been in chile for decades and shared lots of information about the area. Later we had some wine and cheese in the barn. We also enjoyed meeting the stable cats (Nacho, specifically) and our guide dog, Max.

The tour was excellent. The guide, Alejandro Garcia made the experience extremely good with all the information that passed us as well as his knowledge and great good mood. It was also very quiet the trip conducted by Antônio Llanos. Excellent driver, which left us very calm.
