Top Central Norway Float Trips

Our group of 4 had an excellent experience rafting at Go Sjoa - thanks primarily to the expertise and professionalism of our two guides, Sam and Mariano and the rest of the guys working with them. Sam was our raft guide and Mariano was usually accompanying us in a nearby river kayak, and on the second half of the day, he was in a Catamaran rescue raft, just in case. As our rafting guide, Sam was superb in explaining every aspect about the trip and what we will be encountering and how we would approach each of the various rapids. And he did so always in a clear and friendly way. The whole time we felt like we were in extremely good hands and being guided by someone who knew very well what he was doing. The same can be said of Mariano, though his role for our group was more supportive, but he was very clear in his communication and explaining procedures about what to do if things go haywire and we end up in the water, etc… We did a full day rafting both the upper and we were very glad we chose the full day of rafting instead of the half. With such a high level of professionalism from the guides, the weaker points can and did really stand out - namely at the reception check-in and when it came to the lunch after guiding. The woman in reception seemed to be not entirely sure what she was doing. For lunch there was one option only - beef and rice - and not a single alternative if you forgot to write them in advance (as I did…) that you don’t eat beef. In fairness, they did send an email saying to tell them about dietary restrictions, so i came prepared. They did prepare a salad and have bread and butter. The salad was plain AF and no dressing or even oil or vinegar is offered. They serve coffee but you have to ask for milk if you want it. Again, it was Sam who came to the rescue and brought out milk for coffee as the woman from reception who also brought the food, was MIA…The only other thing that was not great was that they made a point of telling us that there would be restroom facilities at the put-in point for the rafts and that this would be our last chance to use the facilities before we raft. But when we got there, they had 3 restrooms but not a single one of them had any toilet paper lol - an unnecessary oversight…we were the first group there in the morning - someone should really look after that. The facilities for post-rafting are good and we really appreciated being able to take a hot shower and change into dry clothes afterwards. A big thank you again to our excellent guides Sam and Mariano and the rafting crew for their professionalism and hospitality!

Thanks to Sam, Finn and Michele we had a great day on the water. The rafting is level 3, which means it is somewhere in the middle of the spectrum. The organization was extremely routined, the explanation entertaining, the material top. Safety clearly comes first here!

Had rob as guide , he was super friendly American and super professional ,i had i blast! Have been rafting before but the guides and the river and weather,did the experience awesome 😁 thanks thanks hot rob and Mickey Mouse ! Will be back

We had an amazing day rafting on the Sjoa River with our guides Mickey and Rob, and the kayaking photographer Kuba. The day was filled with laughter, excitement, very fun rapids and plenty of rafting guide jokes. The vibe was great from the moment we arrived and the river beautiful and wild! We felt very safe after the guides’ introductions and could enjoy the experience to the fullest, even with little rafting experience. The wild water swimming, the crazy Italien rafting guide, the hot shower afterwards and the delicious soup made the day unforgettable! Highly recommended (even in bad weather, as the rain doesn’t bother you at all)!

The boss of the whole thing was also the host at the reception- very flexible, understanding and welcoming. The guide on the boat David had a healthy sense of humor, very informative and funny. Grilled food in the evening was delicious and a lot. We had amazing weekend. Respect and best of luck guys! You deserve it!

Super hospitable, nice people (guides & owners of the accommodation) and a very beautiful place. We did several activities there and all of them were great.

Second time visiting go rafting sjoa. We had a perfect day on the river with our guide Gianmarco. Happy and safe all the time😁 Stayed for two nights in the Europe room. Had lovely breakfast, pizza and lunch after rafting. Staff is amazing as always.☀️

Great fun. Perfect combination of beautiful nature and some adrenaline. Our guide Sam was excellent and really heightened the experience. 10/10 would recommend.

Our day trip with trip leader Joel and our raft guide Nicholas was simply outstanding. Well organized trip and well balanced experience between action and beautiful sight-seeing, there were something for everyone. The nature that Sjoa and the rafting-trip offers feel hard to beat.Other than the rafting we also stayed for three nights in one of the rooms that Go Rafting Sjoa offers. Our room was called ”Africa” and the furnishing lived up to its name! We were also very pleased with the breakfast that offered several bread, eggs, cereals, greens and sandwich toppings! (They also take well care of you if you have any special diets or requests. For ex, gluten)Thank you so much to all the guides, staff and the owners for this experience. Highly recommended!

The best rafting we have ever had. We went rafting the 1st of July with our guide, Ivan. Ivan was a super fun and professional guide and it was clear he a lot of experience. We were in total 6 members + the guide, in the boat. Due to little power in the paddeling from the family we were teamed up with, we had 2 flips with the boat. For us, this was just fun. And it was impressive to see how quickly Ivan managed to turn the boat around, and to help the rest of us back into the boat. I would 100% recommended this!!

Me and my mom had a great time with fun teachers. We didn't tip over, but it was quite challenging! A decent workout to say the least. The fun hosts made it especially entertaining all the way, which also helped on the learning-bit. The river had a lot of rapids which was exciting. After our trip down river we were given a good meal. We will most likely return to Go Raftingz

This was a super rafting experience. It was well organized, the (safety) briefing was professional but also with a lot of humor. The lunch was very good. With our skipper Leonard we had 15 exciting kilometres, with super fast rapids and some really big waves to conquer. I had some rafting experience, but this one was by far with the most adrenaline.

Booked a last minute trip on the river with family and it was an amazing experience with my two boys 11 and 12. Tina was an excellent guide that keep us all entertained well worth the drive of 4 hours from Oslo
