Top British Columbia Fishing

The team was incredibly helpful, giving us directions where to go when we arrived. We were well welcomed and taken care of right away. We were partnered with Ron. who was a hoot, a comedian and a very knowledgable guide for our trip. He proclaimed that we had an errand to do, that we had to wash the ATV. He then drove us through a mud puddle that completely splashed all over the car, which was hilarious. Told us great stories of the area. Took us up to the cabin. Explained everything about it and what the options were moving forward. He then brought up plethora of bait, so we would have an excellent fishing experience. I was with my six-year-old son who had never cast a rod and ended up catching two beautiful rainbow trout. I moderately embarrassed to proclaim how many I caught and will refrain from sharing. All I can say was more than I could have imagined, especially in an afternoon. I look forward to coming back with the rest of my family in the winter. Thank you so much, Ron.

He was such a good teacher and knew exactly how to keep the boys engaged. He could sense when their attention was starting to wander and draw them right back in with his own passion and enthusiasm.The only downside is that post trip, the boys are now asking for their own fly fishing gear. 😂If Matt ever pursues other ventures, he should definitely consider teaching. He has a real gift with kids, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Fantastic fishing trip with our friendly guide Ron. The day couldn’t have been better, we was taken to a private lake, all equipment was ready and set up and my son and I caught 15 trout!We defiantly recommend this trip and this company and thanks again to Ron for making such a great day for us!

Went fishing with Zach as a complete novice. Left feeling I had learnt lots, in spectacular scenery from a great guide. We jumped in the boat and Zach took us to beutiful secluded river mouths to fly fish, taught me techniques and pointed out the names of the wonderful mountains and key facts about the environment we where in.We jumped back in the boat, and Zack mentioned fishing for salmon on the lake, at the drop of a hat he changed the plan for the next two hours to do just that, which was awesome to experience both - thanks for the flexibility Zach.Can't wait to go again! Fishing was an amazing experience! It was so peaceful and Matthew was extremely accommodating and patient with my son. He always made sure safety was a priority! The experience was a blast and we can’t wait to do it again!

We had a fantastic ice fishing trip with Matt — we caught a few trout, and both the kids and I had an amazing time. Highly recommended!

There was an issue with Cool Destinations, which is the third time in 3 months with this company. The tour operator stepped up and still managed to make arrangements. I won’t be using Cool Destinations in the future.

Wow this was a fishing trip. From the cold morning start, glad for the heated and covered part of the boat, to the sun drenched quiet lapping of the waves in the Harrison River to the adrenaline filled catch of a 7 ½ ft sturgeon it was a remarkable day. The knowledge of Our guide Brandyn Desjarlais made the exciting trip a learning experience. Enjoyed it so much we purchased another trip for the summer!

Zach is a salt of the earth human. Amazing day on the water with many laughs. Great successful day fishing.Would definitely reccomend AAA guided tours.

Our tour guide went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time. He was very informative and a wonderful teacher for my boys.

If you don’t do it you will miss a lot of great memories ! The scenery is beautiful and the ATV ride is thrilling. Kids love the trout fishing and help landing the big one ! Top of the list for the next trip to Whistler…. I’m a Colorado native so a hard judge. Enjoy.

We had an amazing time and caught so many fish between us! The kids had a blast! We had a private tour since there weren’t any other people. We had the entire lake to ourselves and our guide was so patient and nice! Thank you!

We got to go out on the ice the first day of the season. Matt was awesome at giving us safety information along with guidance on how to catch trout under the ice. He moved us from spot to spot to increase our chances. Every group in the tour caught at least one fish. Matt even gave the literal coat off of his back to my son when he was cold. We would definitely recommend this experience to anyone traveling to Whistler.
