Seriously, you can stop searching for tours now. We have been fortunate to go on many tours in different countries with our children. This was THE best. Paul is incredibly knowledgeable and hospitable. He was so accommodating and willing to change the itinerary as one of our children started to not feel well on the tour. He made sure that everyone was taken care of and we learned so much!Paul picked us up from our hotel lobby. He communicated clearly what we should bring with us and what he would bring. He was on time and let us know as he was approaching.It was an absolute pleasure to talk to Paul on the drive to Chichan Itza (which is not a short drive!). He is interesting and engaging. He gave us some relevant history and was able to answer our questions. He partners with a local guide at chichen itza who is brilliant. The other guides were all friendly and it is clear that he is well-liked by the broader community, which speaks to how he interacts with others. We took a long time here asking many questions and shopping with the local artists. Paul never rushed us and gave us as much time as we needed.We went to a fantastic lunch at a small roadside restaurant that was packed with locals (it was a local holiday the day that we went). He is friends with the cooks and one of my children was able to make tortillas with them.The cenote that we went to was great! Paul gave us the inside scoop so that we skipped lines and knew the best ways to have fun there. He tailored the choice of cenote to the interests of our family and the timing of our arrival to ensure the best experience.Our last stop was a town that we ended up not exploring much because one of our children started to not feel well. He adapted the schedule so that our son was more comfortable while making sure that we still got to try the amazing food there.Really, I can not say enough good things about this experience. As a professional researcher, I can assure you that you can stop searching now and just book!

This is the second time we book a tour with Zazil and Angel from Wild wave. We had the best tour ever! Zazil is one the best captains! She shares her knowledge about the lagoon, and has taking in us to the best spots! The fruit and drinks were delicious and the timing in every spot perfect! We had a wonderful and incredibly relaxing sailboat tour on the Bacalar Lagoon. The early start in the morning was absolutely worth it – experiencing the transition from night to day on the water and enjoying the sunrise was a beautiful highlight.Ro and Leandro were great captains. With their warm, empathetic, and open manner, they made the tour something very special. They took us to various beautiful spots in the lagoon, shared exciting information about Bacalar and the surrounding area, and also gave us great tips for the region.The two swimming stops were especially nice, where we could jump into the crystal-clear water, swim, and enjoy the tranquility of the lagoon. As a lovely surprise, the two had also prepared a small snack with fresh fruit, toast, and coffee – the perfect refreshment to start the day and another sign of their great hospitality.Anyone visiting Bacalar should not miss this tour. Many thanks to Ro and Leandro for this unforgettable experience – we would sail with you again anytime!

Yesterday beautiful sailing trip made on catamaran with our guide Denovan and Captain Ignatio. They were 2 nice men who gave the necessary information about the cenotes and the lagoon of Bacalar. We booked this private trip with our family and that was actually only a bit more expensive than a group trip. Definitely worth the extra pennies. Cool drinks and a well-kept fruit bowl after swimming completed the trip. Thanks to Ignatio and Donovan for this unforgettable boat trip!
